Oh, NOW this was about Lewis' comment?

    Look what you wrote:

Seems to me we were discussing bad hand. Nice try at diversion...

People love to say that Calzaghe just slaps, but he sure does seem to damage most of his opponents, and obviously something keeps even his best opponents honest, and respecting his punch. I just don't think that he puts everything into every punch. He mixes it up, and you never know when he is bringing the real power.

Yeah, his hand problem wasn't exactly a secret.

So if a boxer has a bad back does that count as well?

If a boxer had a bad back, it's doubtful he'd be boxing still. At least on a world class level. Bad backs can retire pro athletes, let alone allow them to train properly.

Your talking a load of nonsense, bad hands are no different, so to speak, from a bad leg, back, neck, wrist, foot, etc etc... it's just that people try and romanticise it. "Oh if it wasn't for his bad fists he might be able to actually throw a punch". Bad hands are nothing more then wear and tear, it's body weakness, if your body isn't up to the job; tough, thats boxing!

Lewis is right. Show me a highlight of more than a few clean punches landing on Hopkins, you will struggle to find it.
Just heard Roy Jones interview on ESPN FNF and he said Joe Calzaghe didnt kill no legend he beat an old man. He struggled beating a 43 yr old man. Wheres as he easily beat Hopkins in his prime.

I'm talking nonesense? That's like some lunatic telling someone they are crazy.

The DIFFERENCE, which seems to keep going over your head is, Joe DID IN FACT hit harder earlier when his hands weren't as bad. That's how they got that way in the first place. Dealing with you is like trying to yell at a deaf person. :patsch

Nowhere in this thread have I ever stated that Joe didn't hit harder when he was younger. I think you should stop making up arguments with yourself that you can't win.

FYI you're the only person who doesn't think he is winning the argument.
