Well we can't all have the same opinions can we man with Calzaghe avatar.

I gave my opinion, others are equally entitled to theirs. Lennox Lewis believes that Calzaghe slaps, I half agreed with him, sorry about that.

I stated that Calzaghe has never been a real puncher. His poor hands now are no excuse for real lack of power throughout his career, I'm sorry for saying that also.

You really don't know how to read do you.

If you acknowledge that Joe did hit harder when younger and has had bad hands, WTF is your point? Are you just mental or schizophrenic?

Look mate, I haven't had to resort to one silly childish petty insult against you, unlike you who has had to turn to such abuse for pages now, it proves a point; my argument is sound. Thanks anyway.

What was your argument anyway? You acknowledged that Calzaghe was a harder hitter when younger, and that guys hands do get worse when older. THOSE WERE MY POINTS. And yet you kept coming back like a beaten wife to argue...

But if I offended you, my apologies.

Even with his record Lewis was not supported here in the UK as much Hatton or Calzaghe, never in a million yrs! You shouldnt read up on boxing info sites to try and look good but i suppose if you havent lived/supported through them days and seen for yourself then it`s one way to pass judgement?
And how come its taken you yrs to make that avatar? :huh

Jones had it right in that this fight's outcome was a matter if the judges favored alot of pitter-pat bull**** punches (I use the term lightly) that Calzaghe threw alot of, or fewer, but more meaningful punches that Hopkins threw.

I think judges ought to stop giving rounds to these Calzaghe type fighters who go into these rediculous looking flurries where the punches have all the force of a 5 year old boy, in an attempt to impress the judges. This sport is supposed to be a display of skill, yes, but not at the cost of a fighter throwing all power and force out the window, in exchange for a higher amount of this bull**** slapping nonsense.

The judges ought to send the ref over to the corner of someone like Calzaghe with a message for him:

Stop with slapping, already, you little

you are not impressing anyone with your weak attempts at punching, no matter how many of them you throw. This is boxing, not a cat fight between two women. Either start putting at least a bit of power into your punches or get the hell outta the ring and go find a woman to exchange slaps with.

    LOL

He hurt his hands b/c of his **** poor punch technique. That brittle hands **** is a joke. If you throw 1000 punches a fight and you land 1/4 that hits something other then the guys face its going to take its toll. If you have shitty punche technique, you will hurt your hands. Simple as that. Or if you dont close your fist all the way tight. Try hitting a heavy bag like calzaghe throws his punches and you will get the drift. I am still amazed that he can do that ****.

Calzaghe only looked bad because of Hopkins. Who has ever looked good against Hopkins? Prime RJJ and that is it. And Hopkins style was much more pleasing 15 years ago. When Calzaghe fights anyone else his punches wont seem feather-fisted. Especially when he beats down the likes of Pavlik. And I'm a Pavlik fan but Joe will cut his ass up.

again, the really sad thing is that the slapping, which is a bad thing already, includes a lot of air hitting. remind me a lot of odh vs mayweather where oscar was hitting air to make it look like he's doing something. watch that **** in slow-mo (specially the manfredo "stoppage" or some of the hopkins fight replays) just to the appreciate the amount of bs this guy can deliver and have a whole stadium buy it. I have lots of respect for calzaghe, he got the nerve to pull that **** with a straight face.
