That's not the worst analogy at all. Only once he adjusted to the knuckleball, he was hitting infield singles.

It's a sign of champion when they can win when not everything is the way they would like it to be. That's what Joe did and I don't know why people can't just leave it at that.

Most of the Brits know that Calzaghe's career has been a product of careful matchmaking. Don't worry, he is a long way off overtaking Lewis.

to me it sounded like he thinks Calzaghe would win, but that Roy has a decent shot

I've talked to a lot of boxers concerning this fight. They were all Hopkins fans, and none of them cried robbery. They thought the decision was right. It's only here on the ESB board that Hopkins fans think this is an absolute robbery.

I don't see what the problem is with what Lewis said. He had plenty of complaint about Hopkin's performance and said Calzaghe won using slaps.

He's spot on. Joe slapped his way to an ugly win and Nard didn't do enough.

You know what I will say this about Calz.....He's a tough mofo and VERY focused..That 1st round knockdown could have really altered him mentally, but he got up, got it together, and most importantly ADAPTED against probably the HARDEST fighter (even at his advanced age) to look good against.

BUT I wouldn't be sending that fight to Canastota (Hall of Fame site)

It's not the interview. It's that people feel the need to prove that Calzaghe doesn't use the truest punching technique. Everyone knows this, even Calzaghe fans, so I don't know why people need to discredit Calzaghe, he does what he does cause it wins fights and it really pisses people off, so they start a thread every time someone uses the word slap.
