Actually I think it's like that on THIS board is because this forum is WELL KNOWN to be full of Calzaghe nuthuggers so there's probably more sentiment than during any normal boxing conversation.

I think BHOP can sleep VERY WELL knowing that at age 43 he has a VERY legitimate claim to have defeated a undefeated p4p fighter, even dropping him and never being seriously hurt.

I can understand hating crazy fans. I can respect people that saw the fight for Hopkins, it doesn't bother me. I know people who scored the fight for Hopkins, but said the decision was fair.

.... don't get so hung up about the fact people don't like his boxing. He wins all the time so what do you care?

It really doesn't seem like Calzaghe impressed anyone last Saturday

Slaps i dunno Joe seemed to throw some solid straight lefts at bernard that were landing. It seemed like bernard was struggling there near the end of the fight.

Yeah, Calzaghe looked more 'Calslappy' against Hopkins than ever before in his career IMHO. If you've followed Calzaghe's whole career I doubt you'd dismiss him as a 'slapper'.

Lewis is right...I think a guy like Bute would beat Calzaghe. Bute is a much better technical fighter...

-Calzaghe needs to develop a new glove that is an open hand, as that would work better for his bitchslapping, powerless, fighting style.

-HBO needs to change their counting system from Compu-box, to compu-slap for the Calzaghe fights....

-They should develop a new term, just for Calzaghe. Boxer-puncher, will now be boxer-slapper..........

THERE, I said it, and more, again!

And sure, Wlad has more power than a fighter as small as Calzaghe is, but as far as for his division, and for Wlad's division, Wlad has much more power than that of Puff of Smoke Calzaghe. But then again, Lou Duva probably has as much pop in his shots as Calzaghe does.

I think Hopkins was probably hit as hard by the ref when he tried to seperate them..........and that was ON ACCIDENT~!

Beat the hell out of him, ROY!

It's quite an accomplishment how Joe Calzaghe has managed to defeat Eubank, Kessler, Lacy, and Hopkins with slaps.
