Top five HWs don't get taken out TWICE in the early rounds by second rate fighters when they have the title. :-( Threads like this just show how ridiculously overrated Lewis is. He isn't even the best HW of the era in which he fought, let alone top five all time. atsch
He's top 10, no question about that. Louis, Ali, Johnson, Holmes, Marciano, Jeffries... Top comp. to get in the "top 5" but he's close one way or the other.
ok thanks for picking the option that confirms that your trolling. now i can just choose to ignore you.
Big Lennox is a top 3 all-time HW great. These Yanks just can't handle the fact that a Brittard is one of the best HW's EVER. It's the same with Super Joe Calzaghe. Probably the best SMW to ever grace the historic sport of boxing with his perfect 46-0 record and these Yank deniers try and downplay his legendary achievements. patsch:!::hi:
So who would you say is the best Heavyweight of the 1990's/early-2000's? Tyson who spent most of that era in jail or suspended and never beat one single top fighter of the era. Bowe who peaked in 1992, defended his belt against no significant opposition and get his arse kicked in two fights by an opponent Lewis destroyed in one round. Holyfield who, in fairness, has the strongest resume in terms of opposition fought but who's record against that opposition is 4 losses, 1 bull**** draw he should have lost and 4 wins. Moorer who beat Holyfield once before being KTFO by an ancient Foreman and losing to Holyfield in the rematch. Wlad who was KO'd by Purrity, beat Byrd but got destroyed in less than two rounds by Sanders. Vitali who KO'd Hide but quit against Byrd and lost via TKO6 to Lewis. Anyone else?
He's definitely top 10 and borderline top 5. I have him at number 5 so for me he's a top 5 heavy but only just.
It's so hard to decide who's in the top 10 or not but Head to head I would favour Lennox against alot of the greats. I would place him somewhere in the top 10 for sure.
