No-one here doubts Vitali's chin, even his critics. It's a bit ridiculous to claim he wasn't hurt by that uppercut though, unless he feels no pain whatsoever. Either way Lewis punished him far more than any other fighter has, and he won.

I remember Lewis hitting Vitali with that uppercut and the ref came in to brake them,
and Vitali looked at him like "what are you doing?" so i don't think he was hurt at all....

Why don't you just mull over the fact that Lewis looked like ****, he got lucky and got the the win.....and yes he did win. Looked LIKE TOTAL **** DOING IT. Why dont you think and comment about that? Put Vitali down to prop up Lewis. You are a ****** that knows ****!

Lewis took a PART of a Klitschko when he tore a chunk of Vitali's face out. It looked like he carved a bleeding vagina into it. :-(

The facts on the night were that Lewis was out of shape. He weighed in at 256, which was 8 - 10 pounds higher than his fighting weight. He was also in a lackadaisical camp for Kirk Johnson. Vitali was preparing for making a splash on US soil that night. He was set to face Cedric Boswell at first, and he was supposed to look impressive. When neither fight panned out, they subbed in VK for Johnson. Lewis had no problem with it. He could have pulled out after Johnson did, but he chose to get in there and fight Vitali. :deal

Neither fighter had a dedicated prep for the other. Vitali was getting the best of Lewis early and landed a right in RD 2 that normally would have put Lewis on the canvas. But Lewis took the shot.

In RD3, Lewis begins to "fight" and lands a punch that opens up a crater in Vitali's face. Vitali is still somewhat in control, but it's just a brawl by RD 4. RDs 5 and 6 are just Lewis breaking Vitali down. He was opening up with the uppercut on the inside, which was VICIOUS.

This fight was not going the distance either way. I could see either man being stopped by 8, but Lewis had gradually gained control over the course of the fight.

Lewis would've fought Wald, had he not gotten destroyed by Corrie Sanders. The man took on every heavyweight HBO lined up for him. Remember the young heavyweights HBO was pushing? Well Lennox proceeded to take them all out. Ike got locked up, so that fight never came off.

Yeah, he took his freebie/payday with a shot Tyson near the end, but Lewis still hanged around to fight a Klitschko after the one HBO wanted got whupped by a former golfer. Lennox knew his time was up and had nothing more to prove when he stepped away.

12 pages and the argument isn't getting through.

Lewis fought Vitali - I think this would qualify even in the strictest of terms as at least a 'part of the Klitschkos'.

Crazy isn't it? Lewis takes on the better brother who was clearly the number 1 contender at the time when Lewis was simply meant to take on an easy warm up fight. This is not the sign of a fighter who is scared of the Klitschko's.

I am a Vitali and Lewis fan and it makes me cringe when I see ******ed threads like this.
