the cut was caused by a punch, not a butt

The rules of boxing say that if somebody accidentally sticks his thumb into your eye and the fight is later stopped because of it then the cards decide the outcome.

Fact is that Vitali was winning the fight. He staggered Lews, broke his nose and would have knocked him out in the next round!

Yet he fought Vitali, the brother who was looking the best at the time considering Wladimir's loss to Sanders, on short notice after training for Kirk Johnson.

Let's be fair... he was FORCED to fight Vitali. He had already backed out of negotiations on a couple of occasions and Vitali was actually even threatening to sue Lennox Lewis trying to force him to fight since he was the mandatory.

Lennox Lewis was trying to fight Kirk Johnson... in a fight so pointless that the WBC refused to even sanction it. When Johnson pulled out the Venue and HBO would ONLY approve Vitali Klitschko as a replacement. That is why it happened, and it wasn't Lewis' choice.

With only two weeks to prepare such a tough challenge, he could have just canceled the fight night.

Also what instructions did Lewis give Sanders, to beat Wlad?

He didn't want vitali either, he waited to last second to tell vitali he was fighing him, an he knew he was going to ask for week an half before he asked.....Vitali beat his ass with one eye for 3 rounds...

As for wlad, sure lewis gave some good head to sanders after saving himself from a wlad beat down, could you imagine if those were wlads punches landing on lewis instead of vitali, an vitali hits hard, but wlad, can not find much harder then him.

lewis had rahaham flash backs when seeing pictures of wlad in 2003, yea lewis is a true puss.....

Just jump on him. Nobody's done it yet.

    Hardly rocket science.

If we're going down the 'magically insert one brother into the others shoes at one point in a fight" path, then can you imagine if Lewis was landing the right hands he hit vitaly with on wlads chin?

I seem to remember Sanders doing just that

So why did Widdow say, that Sanders didnt listen Lewis advise and would have lost if he did?

I was assuming that punch is not landing cause of wlads defensive skills, look at the mcline fight, wlad was barly hit, yes mcline is no lewis,,,,but the point that punch is not landing on wlad, only thing lewis is landing, is his body on the canvas...:yep

So, you're imagining that wlad can hit exactly like vitali, get in exactly the same attacking position as vitali, but is completely different when it's Lewis throwing the punches.

Well, in that case wlad beats every fighter in history. If he can punch them but put on his cloak of invisibility in defence he's hard to beat.

I mean, if jameel mccline can't hit you, who can?
