well we will never know. anything can happen into a fight. lewis can walk into a huge rahman shot, vitali can hurt his arm and quit. the result of the rematch will never be known

Spin it however you want, but Vitali was cut not once, not twice but three times in one fight, and did you ever consider the fact that it hasn't happened since (Sanders?) possibly due to the difference in power between Lewis and anyone else Vitali fought?

Anyway, just watched some of the Sanders fight and after the 4th round there was blood around the same eye as Lewis cut open, mind you it wasn't on the same magnitude as Lewis but then again Lewis hits a lot harder than anyone else Vitali's ever fought.

When an opponent opens up NUMEROUS cuts on the other fighter in one fight I'd bet he could do it again and bookie would certainly shorten the odds.

Vitali is well aware of the possibility of it opening up and fights accordingly - and as has said before Lewis is the man stylistically and ability wise to go after that face and get to it.

It is a massive operation to have scar tissue shaved from your face - Silva had it done recently.

Unlikely, not after his performance in the first fight.

Only one thing is sure; he made one of the worst business decision in the history of boxing.

    Which makes more sense?

I mean why would anyone bet on Lewis being the favorite after Vitali comprehensively outboxed him in the first match?

I dunno, maybe it's because Lewis was recognizable after the fight and Vitali looked like a bus hit him.

I gotta be honest with you, if were me I think I'd sooner have left the fight looking like Lewis with a "w" under my belt than Vitali who not only looked like he was hit by a bus but received an "L" beside his name afterwards. And if there was a rematch I'd personally be betting on the guy who walked away with the "w" and the belts. And then after the fight, I'd be spending your money..lol
