Riston looks the real deal and the Geordie's know how to get behind one of their own! Seriously how far do you think he can go?

Brilliant aint he....you would gladly pay to go watch him bounce someone around...

He is with Matchroom so i predict he will get to Euro level ,stay there for 18 months then get thrown in with a Monster like Linares ...The Matchroom model

I believe this is a lesson for Hearn/Sky and every other promoter and platform and a lesson to young and up and coming fighters.

Ritson wasn't given a huge build up, he wasn't overhyped and they haven't force fed the boxing public with him.

It's been organic, natural, Ritson has grabbed his opportunities with both hands and gone for it, he is down to earth and that appeals to the vast majority of boxing fans and Ritson is winning fights and building a very decent fan base.

Also, Ritson isn't on social media calling out other fighters and posting pictures giving it the big man, he is just getting on with it and letting his performances do his talking, it proves you don't have to make noise with your mouth or media accounts but with your performances and actions and you'll get noticed.

On the other side of things, look at Conor Benn, nothing but hype and unjustified billing and it's sort of backfired to large extent.

And it backfired spectacularly with O'Hara Davies.

Have a feeling we are about to see him in against Ricky Burns sooner or later. I also have a feeling he'll be the first to stop Burns.

That's what makes him so exciting, I think he can box its just he hits hard and when he smells blood he pounces, loved it

LOL In my defence I didn't hammer him, I just said the social media way backfired for him and even you have to say it did.

I didn't say he was a lost cause or he couldn't go on to do good things.
