Yep, so much to like about Ritson. All action in the ring and seems a humble lad outside of it.

Hes really exciting to watch and the whole country is loving him. There are some great nights to come in newcastle now for boxing fans.
Taylor is exciting also but lewis has that bang that everyone loves.
    I love Ritson.

He still has that bit of vulnerability about him, due to his poor defence....eventually someone will get him first with one....people anticipate that, and love the action...

I dont think his defence is p*ss poor but do agree that hes vulnerable at times, mainly when hes throwing shots.
Im not sure if its overconfidence because in his earlier fights before he fought for british, his style was a lot more based round a boxing style.
I know that prior to him challenging for a british he was always out on the road sparin the big boys, at that time. He was going to gallaghers often and handling all the lads down there. He was going anywhere there was good fighters around his weight, that must of given him loads of confidence which showed in the barrett fight.
As daft as it seems you can draw similarities between GGG and the geordie Golovkin. GGG was a top boxer when he started out but his style changed as he got more and more confident with his power. GGGs defence was better in his earlier days, whether hes changed through complacency or design im not sure.
I do agree that theres quite a bit to work on with Ritson and his defence is part of that, you are correct.

Is Ritsons footwork very similar to golovkins or am I just imagining it? The pressure he applies is incredible leaving opponents no option but to trade. I just hope his chin holds up as he raises levels.

Yea i do think u can draw similarities between GGG and Ritsons footwork, and also the way they hunt their opponent down.
Ritson whilst been good at cutting the ring off still hasnt mastered that area fully yet tho but that qill improve with experience.
The attitude and intention is the same as GGGs as well. Force the opponenet to fight by pressuring him and get him to trade with you. Belief in his ability to punch harder and been tougher/ stronger is what gives him the confidence to fight like that.

Wouldn't it be great if he is as tough as GGG. I just can't wait to see him fight again, I love that style of boxing.

That would be great, Ritson is fast becoming popular, hes appealing to a lot of people. Only thing that i would make particular note of, is he is massive for the weight and we have to wonder what hell be like against another big lw and also if he has to move up at some point, how would he fair with the 140s.
For now tho hes havin a good ride and people are enjoying watching him. If he can manage to stay at 135 then with the right progression, i can see him going all the way.

I agree, it's too early to crown him world champion but it's going to be a thrilling ride.
