Francis Botha flew out of the ring when Lennox Lewis hit him, show shades of Foreman vs Fraizer type power.

Foreman hit Frazier so hard he jumped, i only ever seen that same kind of reaction when Lewis like the power out on Botha!

    Lewis early and easy

Wlad finished strong and dominated but loses points for going 8 and getting him last

Tyson had the most destructive KO but performed terribly up until

Lewis had the best win as he dispatched him quickly and dominated from the beginning, but otherwise the fight with Tyson was nicer to watch.

At this time it was already known Tyson was not invincible, but still Botha was considered to be just a tune-up. And instead he came to win and made a good fight - ahead on points. neutralizing Tyson style easily, and Tyson looked frustrated on his way to loose via UD/DQ.

Wlad got the worst version of Botha... and still it took him boring 8 rounds to finish.

I rate them all as simple wins against an overmatched opponent. I don't really hold it as great win for any of the 3. The result was the same in all of them, a knockout. Tyson seemed to struggle the most out of the 3, with the fight being awkward and dirty. Then again, Tyson was CLEARLY past his best when he fought Botha. Wlad took his time and got some rounds, and Wlad hadn't reached his prime yet. Lennox was right at the top of his game and got him out early. So, all of the fights kind of made sense the way that they went.

Interview with Phil Jackson: Who boxed both Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko
    April 16th, 2012

BoxingInsider: What memory stands out about your world title challenge vs. Lennox Lewis?

Phil Jackson: “His jab, he had a great jab, I was in great shape for the fight but I had a lot of problems dealing with his jab.”

BoxingInsider: How did Lennox treat you before and after the fight?

Phil Jackson: “He treated me with respect. Because I could look back now. He treated me with respect, he respected my power, he trained well for me. And after the fight, he treated me the same. He respected me after the fight as well as before.”

BoxingInsider: Any other outstanding memory from the experience of boxing Lennox Lewis for the world heavyweight championship?

Phil Jackson: “Yeah, I should have won it [smiles]! I should have won it.”

BoxingInsider: What would you do differently?

Phil Jackson: “I would have went inside more. I would have basically tried to stay inside and work that body a bit more. And come up. Instead of trying to stay outside – and try to jab with a jabber that’s 6-5, a giant.”

BoxingInsider: You boxed both Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko (in 1999), who had more power in their punches?

    Phil Jackson: “Klitschko, definitely, yeah.”

    BoxingInsider: Which hand?

Phil Jackson: “Both. Both. Put it this way…if it would have been Wladimir in there when his brother (Vitali) fought Lennox Lewis (in 2003), I think he would have dropped Lennox Lewis. I honestly do. I think he would have dropped Lennox Lewis – if he would have been in the best of shape.”

BoxingInsider: About Lennox – what made him such a great champion?

Phil Jackson: “His jab. He works behind that jab real well. And he set everything up by the jab. To me, he’s not a one-punch knockout artist, but he wears you down with the jab. I think that’s what made him a great fighter.”

    Another Klittard posting ******ed interviews.

Jackson fought a PRE PRIME version of Lewis and got dominated.. nobody remember the version that fought Wlad. although I'm pretty sure it was another Lewis Left over.

Nobody in their right minds think that Wlad can beat Lewis prime for prime. If it was Wlad instead of Vitali during tko6 night he would have been knocked out in 1 round.
Lewis couldn't take Wlad's shots.. yet Wlad can take Lewis's shots? The shots he hit Vitali with would have had wlad killed.

Tyson was terrible v Botha, but the finish was tremendous.
Lennox just annihalted him. Botha wasn't even competitive.

Holyfied was a world title holder when Lewis fought him. Holyfield-lewis was considered #1 vs #2 in the division.

Even the Tyson that Lewis fought was miles ahead of the Rahman,Merver and Bothas that Wlad fought.

Also,if Tyson didnt spend so much time in jail for raping people and getting banned for biting peoples ears and getting beaten up by Holyfield, the fight with Lewis would have happened sooner.

I find it funny Klitschko fans ... don't understand this.

Who are the future boxing writers and analysts? They are most likely the guys posting on various forums right now. History will not be kind to the Klitschkos because the same writers 10 years from now are the young teenagers bashing the Klitschkos on sites like this in present time.

When they grow older, they are the ones in control of boxing history. THEY WILL ensure the Klitschkos earn their RIGHTFUL place.

The commentary for the Tyson fight makes me laugh.

Saying he cant get his punches off, he's shot then BOOM big right hand.

As for the question, Lewis did the best job on Botha. Didn't even get out of 1st gear.
