It is. Personally i think Bowe wasn't a victim of Golota, but of his own poor conditioning. After the first Golota fight, and 3 wars with Holyfield it didnt matter what shape Bowe was in for the second Golota fight his brain was already beat up.

I don't think anyone talks up Haye or Harrison as being the Greatest or one of the greatests Heavyweights of all time, off the back of a string of wins against questionable opposition. (Not that Mike isn't one of the greatest of all time)

No, you're not in the minority. There was a Tyson-Lewis poll a few days ago and Tyson was the overwhelming favorite. Something like 165-75 in votes.

King ruined Tyson-Holyfield in 1991, Tyson-Foreman, Tyson-Bowe and Tyson-Lewis from happening when they mattered most in the 90's.

Exactly. Yet Briggs is supposedly one of Lewis' best wins after Lewis got rocked hard in the 1st couple rounds before turning the tide.

    This is mostly true. :deal

Lewis chased Bowe for years. He knew he had Bowe's number and called him out to his face on more than one occasion. There was no Lennox around as a credible opponent during Mike Tyson's actual PRIME (pre-penitentiary).

There was one case where King paid Lewis step aside money so that Tyson could fight Evander. That's partly because the Holyfield fight was the one that everyone wanted to see back then, even though it was delayed due to Tyson's prison stint. At that time, Lennox wasn't as highly regarded as he went on to later become. So the matchup with Holyfield was seen as more lucrative.

Before Tyson got locked up, everyone was looking forward to the Tyson-Holyfield fight. When it happened in '96, it was already years in the making for so many fans. Lennox was great, but by the time he fought Mike, Mike was completely washed up... and both men knew it.

I dont know what was up with Bowe to be honest. I think he is more of a What If than Tyson was.

Bowe to me is the missing piece of the Jigsaw of Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield. At least them 3 fought each other.

Also most of Bowes wins (Outside Holyfield) are Tyson leftovers. Biggs, Tubbs, Ferguson, Mathis. Tyson also destroyed Golota and made him quit.
