No. Haye was talking about not fighting Ruiz until spring! Vitali wants to fight Haye ASAP. Why not pay Ruiz to stand aside and the winner fight him? I want to see Vitali and Haye fight ASAP. I am tired of waiting. The contract with Vlad was signed, that is a fact. Haye was supposed to have fought Vitali even before the contract with Vlad, then Haye was supposed to have fought Vlad, then all the talk about fight Vitali which Vitali was looking forward to, but Haye again backed out. Talk is cheat, Haye needs to let his fists to the talking like Vitali does.

Ruiz was already paid to step aside so Haye could fight Valuev. I doubt he goes for it again.

You do remember that Vitali was the one who 'backed out' of the first fight you mentioned? A fight was verbally agreed, Bernd Boente was even quoted as saying they didn't care about the WBC belt and they would drop it of necessary to fight Haye, then Vitali backed out and fought the mandatory with Gomez instead. Exactly the same as Haye choosing to fight Valuev instead of Vitali later, yet strangely you give Haye **** for his choice, but none to Vitali for his :think

No, he fights exactly the same way every time. If he was able to adjust like you claim, he would have found a way to overcome Johnson's defence. He would also have found a way to keep Byrd at bay for a couple of rounds. He would also have found a way to avoid being hit repeatedly on an obvious target (the eye) vs Lewis.

The worst Lewis ever looked was against Rahman at 253. He was 256 for Vitali... of course he was out of shape. He was 37, had been talking about retirement since 2000.

You think Lewis was busting his balls in the GYM for KJ? :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Oh and try wathcing the fight with that ****ing terrible commentry turned down, it makes a difference. Lamply and Foreman are a disgrace. Honestly, do it. Showed a friend who was convinced Lewis took an aweful beating the fight with the volume down and he was amazed at the difference, it's a far closer fight than people think.

I won't claim he changes fightplan like a magician but you make it sound as if he lost to KJ instead of win 12 one sided rounds.

As for Byrd I'm sure he could have kept him at bay he didn't want to risk further injury I suppose.

Lewis didn't hit him that many times after the cut had occured a few sure but again when you tell it it sounds as if he got hit on his bad eye 400 times.

No it isn't, he was heavier than he'd ever entered the ring before and noticably soft. Showing also that he hadn't learned from the Rahman experience that you shouldn't take it easy in the gym just because you're scheduled to fight a soft opponent (soft in every sense of the word in that instance.)
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you're simply ill informed and not out and out lying because of some absurd agenda. Vitali was scheduled to fight on the undercard, can't remember who the opponent was off the top of my head but that's by the by.
Lewis certainly didn't look good, in fact you're contradicting yourself in saying it is fallacy that he was out of shape. He didn't look good in that fight nor in good shape, no timing, soft body = out of shape.
As for the cutS-note the plural: The first cut was caused by a grazing punch, no arguments here. It was on the lid of the left eye. So now could you please account for the second cut on the same eyelid, the cuts below the eye and the bleeding inside the mouth? I would appreciate it. Also account for Vitali almost going down in the sixth, presumably a delayed reaction to the lucky grazing punch.
Mine is that he struggled with a guy he probably felt wouldn't have been all that difficult for him were he a few years younger and thought 'You know what? It's time to hang 'em up.'

That what you call bullying? None of the bullies i know get battered during the start of their fights, and if they do, they stop bullying

Yes, and if Lewis was bullying him, then he would have surely been ahead on the scorecards, right?

Probably one of the best posts ever, I just don't get why everyone goes on about Klitschko clearly winning the fight before it was stopped, I've watched it a lot to try and see if it is something i'm not seeing but for me (without the stupid commentry) quite rightly stated above, this was a very good close fight which I had three rounds each at the stoppage with Lewis starting to get on top,

I don't know how the fight would have ended up maybe Klitschko would have knocked Lennox out or maybe Lennox would have knocked Klitschko out I DON'T KNOW but what I do know is for me over six rounds this was a good competitive fight that could have gone either way, now please can we stop the Klitschko was dominating bull****

Vitali was in training, he was scheduled to fight Cedric Boswell on the undercard, while Lewis was supposed to fight Kirk Johnson.

Lewis was in top shape. He knew it was his farewell tour and learned from the complacence of the Rahman and McCall fights. He knew Vitali was a major threat and refused to fight him, handpicking Johnson instead. Vitali was taking him to court to get the shot. Lewis knew Vitali was confident and hungry to fight him.

Rumor has it the Vitali team paid Kirk Johnson to fake the injury, which forced Lewis to finally fight Vitali. Lewis was in great enough shape and felt great so he agreed. Johnson was later taken care of by getting the first crack at Vitali when he became champ.

Lewis was displased but relieved with the ref stoppage. he knew he didn't really win and felt semi ashamed that he refused to go over and congratulate Vitali. When he saw how pissed off Vitali was, and how the crowd united for him, Lewis became agitated and this is why he vented angrily on Larry Merchant. Lewis was not a happy content winner but frustrated with his performance and how Vitali stole the show. Vitali became champion that night in the eyes of the world, as Wladimir paraded him around the ring like the hero.

Then Lewis was booed out of the arena and Vitali was cheered like a triumphant hero.

Bottom line is they both won and both lost on that wild wonderful amazing night in HWT history, which will never be duplicated.
