I think Vitali learned quitting in the Byrd fight was not an acceptable practice in world championship boxing.

He showed in the Lewis fight he didnt have the ability to fight on when he wasnt in total control. To me thats a big factor in his character as a fighter just as it is his brothers.

Great fighters show the ability to change up their style from time to time, just as Lewis did in the Vitali fight.

Vitali was cheated out of the title because Lewis beat Vitali's butt and opened up huge cuts on his face causing a stoppage?

Lennox was around the same age Ali was when he fought Holmes and a prime Vitali still couldn't beat him!!
Vitali couldnt see out of his left eye so the next right hand Lewis hit him with [which he could not see coming] would of either blinded him or retired him!

 

lennox was slow and out of shape and old you simply cannot judge how good or bad vitali is with this fight.
