Both men had just starched Biggs by the end of the '91, and were about to make defining career wins to start off their true march towards stardom in the following year, but who would've won if they were matched up this early on? I used to think that Bowe was much more championship ready at this point in time when compared to Lennox, but looking at both of their records right now, I think that Lewis looks a bit better. Riddick came out the other end looking a bit worse despite fighting more quality opponents, which mostly due to him having a real hard time against Tony Tubbs- But he also took a much longer to dispatch Biggs than Lennox did. Not to mention the fact that he gave Tyrell the chance to land some decent leather on him due to his lackluster defense. I think I'll take Lewis on this one, but how about you guys?
I’m taking Bowe on the strength of the fact that he was just about in his prime by here, & the best Bowe arguably beats any Lewis, let alone this green one. I will admit though that Bowe doesn’t seem to have been confident & that’s the wildcard here.
