How is it then that Shannon Briggs couldn't even move a 48 year old George Foreman and yet in his very next fight he's having a prime Lennox Lewis stumbling in rounds 1-2 with all the subtlety of a polar bear on acid?

young or old, George crushes Lummox

  4. lennox lewis was not naturally "bigger" than foreman, lewis was only taller, if you put both men with same nutrition, same training and they would have weighed equal, but foreman was 6´4 and lewis 6´5, foreman would be a bit more compact and he was physically stronger.

I personally think it's speculation as to which of the two is stronger. Many who have fought Lewis have indicated how surprised they were by his strength and I also think there's about a 20lb difference between this in their repective primes in favor of Lewis.

  6. Foreman at 19 weighed 230 and was listed at 6'3 1/2. Lewis in his 20s the age Foreman was when he retired weighed about 225-230 and was listed at 6'4 1/2. Lewis bulked up in his 30s to 250 and that clearly wasnt his best weight

Post Ali Foreman was fighting worse than he did 13 years later on his comeback.

My view is if you took Lewis back to the early seventies he would outpoint Ali then get sparked by Foreman, like a sort of better version of Norton.

  9. lennox lewis did not have the chin to take the bombs from foreman. foreman had too heavy hands for the suspect chin of lewis

  11. Foreman lost to Jimmy Young because of various reasons. Neither was because he was messed up by that time of the fight. If I can find the little thing Foreman and Gil Clancy said about the fight I will post it here.

In any case at the top of his game Foreman would always beat Lewis. Foreman could be knocked down but he would get up. Lewis never showed that ability.

Lewis also seems bothered when a fighter puts pressure on him. The same way Wladimir and Vitali K get flusted by pressure

That's a pretty poor analysis if nothing else. What do you mean Foreman would get up, did you miss the Ali - Foreman fight?

And since when is it an attribute to get knocked down and get up verses not getting knocked down to begin with. Translation, Foreman's been knocked down more times than Lewis has.

So regardless of who would actually win if they fought, this is very flawed analysis.

  14. foreman never was ko when he was not tired, ali tried to knock him out early and foreman took the shots from ali like nothing. lewis had better stamina and he was hurt seriously by bruno, and he was ko by rahman or mccall. foreman had by far better chin and more heart as well(lewis had good heart too)

Well if he took the shots like nothing, he would have won the fight wouldn't he? He was also rocked repeatedly against Lyle so I don't by this crap that he had a cast iron chin and Lewis's was crap. I personally think that for the most part Lewis fought in an age when they're were far more bangers, then in the 70's and Lewis simply got caught twice, it happens. Doesn't mean it'll happen if he were to fight Foreman, any more than it meant it would happen when he fought Tyson, or Tua, who were both thought to be been able to KO him in one punch..IF you get in that one punch that may very well be the case, but it's not an easy assignment.

I personally think ANY fighter can be hurt if you hit him in the right place. Foreman was plenty hurt against Lyle and Tyson too has been down numerous times. I'm not saying Lewis's chin is as good as theirs, I don't beleive it to be true, but you still have to land that Sunday punch to that combination to get him out of there, and that's proven to be a very difficult task.
