Since me and the clueless troll SerbianLoudmouth have been arguing back and forth about this, I've decided to make a poll about this fight to show this troll that almost nobody agrees with his moronic ideas on this matter. He thinks the fight could be scored either way or that it was a draw or Holyfield won, so let's find out.
First fight was not close at all, 2nd fight was close but I still thought Lewis edged it, if you thought Holyfield won I wouldn’t argue with you
Lewis won the first fight by a minimum of three rounds, arguably up to five. Stinker of a decision to cap off a dreary fight. To be honest, I don't think the rematch was that much closer in terms of scoring. A bit tighter than the first one, sure, but still a relatively clear Lewis win where 116-112 wouldn't seem totally out of place in my opinion, albeit I could see it closer. No doubt it was a much better contest overall, and Evander raised his game significantly from the first one, but I still don't think he was all that close to winning the fight.
SerbianLoudmouth is a troll most of the time, so I'm surprised that he would actually agree with the truth that Holyfield won the fight. It's too bad that people have done so much reading and have made up their mind that before they watch this fight that Holyfield will lose, when in reality he gave Lewis a bad pounding, and somehow Lewis clearly won?
Well, I haven't seen the fight in a while, but I remember at the time expecting Holyfield to get beat up, but then being shocked and thinking that Lewis was fortunate to get a draw. Unlike SerbianLoudmouth, I'm going to go back and watch the fight now, cuz if I just remember incorrectly, I need to revise my opinion before I go on barking it all over the place any longer.
Round 2-Lewis hurts Holyfield a little bit, but scores well; round to Lewis Well, I have to have some way of proving that I'm watching it, rather than just saying: "Yep, I was right all along."
