people who say this is easy for lewis that is crap Marciano is a hard hard fight for anyone.

he would be a hard fight for a bear, Marciano is like a cornered badger he will keep fighting

i still think Lewis would win on points

You'll get some who might come to Marciano's defense but I'm not buying it. Lewis would absolutely destroy Marciano. This fight would be over in three rounds or less.

What if Marciano did a Holyfield and used modern dieting and bulking techniques to bring his weight up Lets not forget Evander was a cruiser like Marciano was and gave Lewis hell in there second fight.

You can not build up height or gain anymore reach, I don't care how much you train.

As far as Rocky boxing on the inside goes, he has stated many times, that he needed room for his punches and didn't like boxing on the inside. If you ever watched the show called "Main Event" which he hosted, you would have heard him say that.

My pick is Lewis. The only guys that beat him were over 230 pounds and had a reach of 82". With that saying, Rocky could land one of his right hands and it would be good night for Lewis, BUT that would be very unlikely.

I think very little of Marciano in a head 2 head sense. I'd have him getting stopped in maybe the 8th round.

Maybe he said so (fighters say a lot of things), but film shows otherwise. His short arms and stocky build made him one hell of an effective in-fighter. I'm just not sure how much Lewis will allow him to fight on the inside. I expect him to unleash that monster of a right uppercut that literally lifted McCall of the ground, before tieing him up. And the rest of the time he'll look to score points behind the jab. I think he'll take the first 5-6 rounds, but after that, his legs start to tire a bit and the Rock will make him fight. I'd still favor Lewis, though. As McGrain said, this is a bad stylistic matchup for Marciano, and the size disparity is gigantic.

Marciano would get stopped inside 6 rounds. He's never been in with anyone like Lewis in terms of physical stature and peak skills. Charles and Moore were past their best. Lewis was at his best when fighters were aggressive on him, although usually tall ones like himself. Marciano would clearly need to be constantly hunting down Lewis to get inside. IMO, fighting out of a crouch would be his best bet. Making himself even shorter than his listed 5'10" height. He would also need to show head movement like never before considering the jab and power he'd be up against.

Just a question....Does Marciano for this fight get to bulk himself up to 215lb with modern nutriotion/supplements/weight training??? why not? Spinx and holyfield did.

Tua and Tyson both same height, as Marciano stepped into the ring at 220lb, Marciano should be able to use modern benefits to his advantage as well.

No, he can't. Because it's simply unrealistic when giving a prediction. We never seen a 215lb Marciano in the ring. So it's hard to tell, accurately, how this would have effected his skills and speed. Spinks and Holyfield did because they needed to when they moved up. We need to go with the Marciano we seen, not one out of a 'superhero' comic book that we never.

Marciano will never be able to use modern benefits to his advantage. The man died in 1969.

Lewis had a great size advantage over Marciano but to compare the 5"9 ******e Furtune to Rocky is crazy......Furtune was ko'd 2 times before Lewis fought him by Buster Mathis Jr. and 3-2-0 Patrick Smith...Furtune was shorter than Marciano but had a 15-8 record and all of his loses were by Ko.

Lets take a look at some of the shorter fighters Lewis fought

    5"11 Ossie Ocasio Lewis W10
    6" Levi Billups Lewis W 10
    5"10 David Tua Lewis w12

Another interesting thing comes to mind with LEWIS, He NEVER stopped a man after the 8th rd

another thing Lewis never got up off the floor to win and Marciano was a good finisher

Because of Lewis's size advantage (but lets remember if Lewis was fighting in the 50's or Marciano in the 90's the training methods, weights etc. would have to be ajusted) I give him the edge in early warfare but remember it could be dangerous...Remember both of Lennox KO loses were early in the fight KO in 2 by McCall and KO in 4 by Rahman......Does anyone think that any of those 2 men can hit harder than Marciano, even if you do it does not matter because I think you would still say Marciano could punch...Now Lewis could gamble and go in early and Marciano got better as the fight progressed.

I think Both men would feel each others power early...would Lewis decide to box like he did vs Tua....but fighting Marciano fighting low may be a bit uncomfortable for him also and Rocky could come out with a bomb.....The fact that Lewis never stopped a man after 8 rds falls into Marciano's favor....so if we take the fight into the 50's it would be 15 rds, if Marciano survives the early rds...Lewis would be in deep waters after the 12th
.....Tired...Marciano getting stronger and with Late Power....

I really do not know who would win but I would take the bets of those who were so sure it would be a blow out in Lewis's favor....Its a dangerous fight for both men and Like I said Lewis has early power but has been caught and KO'd early 2 times

Lewis Never KO'd anyone past 8 rds so if the fight went past 8 Marciano would get stronger....These are fighters who dominated in there era...it would not be an easy fight for either man and Iwould be a fool to sell anyone short Here (no pun intended)
