It was a 50/50 fight but Lewis won it for me.

I would have to rewatch it-but at the time I felt Mercer had done enough, though Lewis showed his courage in that fight.

Could have gone marcers way! Mercer gave anything he had lewis had more i think and looked that he is force of future, given how inconsistent mercer was i think jugges did the right thing to award it to Lewis!

Also if rematch hapened IMO Lewis would have won much easier!

BUT if you watch the fight and don't know anything about them i would give it to mercer!

Haven't watched it in a while but I think I had it 6-4 to Lewis but it could easily have been a draw.

great fight that was close, but Lewis took it by 1 or 2 points on my card. can't remember which.

and the Americans use to constantly question the mans heart for a fight. stupid. they saw with their own eyes that greatness was in front of them but couldn't handle the fact that he wasn't one of their own... so threw mud at him to try and bring him down and constantly showed disrespect. the lion prevailed on their own soil though, and wiped out all that they had to offer.

I remember it being a controversial decision to an extent and that i thought lewis won it narrowly, but i havent watched that fight in Ages.

    Agreed.

I also have not seen it in awhile, but I scored it for Lewis by 2 points.

It's my favourite fight of Lewis', I have watched it many times and have always scored it for Lewis. 6 rounds to 4, Lewis was simply busier, Mercer basically tried to steal rounds but never worked for the full 3 mins in any round, which cost him the fight. While Mercer had his moments, Lewis usually fired back with brutal combinations, Lewis simply wanted it more.
