i can never understand which part of 'lewis tko6' is so hard to understand

that's 'fat, old, slow, disinterested and past his prime lewis tko6' in full, of course.

Thats right, I have watched that round many times trying to see why so many think Lewis dominated that round. I think its a case of people just repeating something so many times that people start to actually believe it.

A strong case can be made for Vitali winning the 6th round. And I for one score round 6 for Vitali.

i agree, despite the cut on Vitali it was Lewis who was on his way out.

It wasn't Lewis' fault that Vitali quit again.

I thought that Lennox was just not in the best shape for that fight...

    Without the cuts then probably...

With the cuts... if it was allowed to continue... I see it fairly evenish ... with an edge to Vitaly.

But eventhough Vitaly was clearly the better man on the night - I still rank them exactly even H2H because Lennox was older than Vitaly. But for sure that version of Vitaly (and the next 5 years where he learned even more) is a scary fighter.

Lewis won the sixth with those uppercuts but both guys looked absolutely knackered. As for saying what if Vitaly hadn't been cut thats like saying 'what if Lewis wasn't punching him?' There was an element of luck of course, but hitting someone with prominent cheekbones in the face is a pretty good idea.

If all three of the official judges were so incompetent in giving the round to Lewis when 'a strong case can be made for Vitali winning the 6th round' then why are you all so hung up about Vit being up on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage?

All I saw was Vitali holding every chance he could and Lewis landing shots.

Both looked tired but Vitali seemed less in the fight imo.

I think it was a case of the judges looking for a round to give to Lewis.

I think it was a case of the judges awarding the round to the fighter that done the better work.

It was a close round and Lewis did land the best punch of the round, but Vitali landed more good shots then Lewis did. Going on who did the better work I would say Vitali won. If you are going by who threw the best punch then Lewis won. It was a close round, but I like what Vitali did in that round more and I think he won it fair and square.

Lots of people judgment may be swayed by blood, but Vitali did the better work imo.

I think scoring becomes pretty much irrelevant in a fight where it was obvious from the 3rd round that it wasn't going to the cards. Personally I think you could have anywhere between 3-3 and 5-1 Klitschko, but to be honest it isn't something that should matter to anyone.

Lewis's strategy from that point on was to pressure and "dog" Klitschko, and force the stoppage either by cuts or more conventional means. Accumulating points to win rounds wasn't on the agenda.

Only a true cretin would argue against the fight being stopped, and the scoring was irrelevant by that point. The only point worthy of some debate is what would have happened had the cut not been an issue and the fight continued. No-one knows the answer to this for sure, and there's plenty of room for argument either way,
