It's a no brainer that Lewis would get past Wlad's jab every once in a while. He wouldn't slip them, but he'd simply take them and then throw his own punches.

Also Lewis (like Wlad) was excellent at concealing his own punches so he'd throw without Wlad having time to disrupt anything with his jab.

Wlad's jab and right hand would have posed a problem, but there is no doubt in my mind that Lewis would have turned ghetto on Wlad and turned it into a streetfight. He had an inner resolve that Wlad does not, and once that big right of Lewis' starts to connect, it's a matter of time...Lewis KO 2.

The last two guys on earth I'd ever want to fight, if I were Wlad, would be Lewis and Tyson.

He's not wobbled by jabs routinely, he was wobbled by that jab, which was perfectly timed to land right the moment when Vitali took a step forward to open up and land a shot of his own.

Any fighter in the history of the sport would have been 'wobbled' by that jab under these circumstances. Not making any excuses for big Vit, just reporting the facts.

lol Why is everyone posting GIFs of Vitali?? he is completely different fighter than Wladimir. Wlad of TODAY beats Lewis, but not Wlad of 2003-2004. Wlad of today is more confident and skilled than ever.

no way on earth does wlad give lewis as stern a test as his bro did.

Lewis too had a very good jab so potentially wlad could have just as difficult time trying to get past it. Ultimately this fight for me would come down to durability and lennox was the tougher of the two. Also, when lewis worked out that aside fro the jab followed by the right hand there is not a lot else to Wlads offence. Sure wlad punches hard but i just don't see him catching lewis enough to stop lewis flattening him.

Wach nearly had Wlad out of there. Imagine what Lewis would do.

im usually the last person to criticize wlad but he isnt as effective with guys his own size not to mention his tendency to throw single shots

Lewis would get through at some point and land on Wlads chin and its good night

Lewis could not work out a way past Frank Bruno's jab until he threw a wild desperation punch. Wlad's jab is far superior to Bruno's and would be followed by huge right hands, Wlad would most likely KO Lewis.

Lewis would knock out the aggressive 2003 version of Wlad.

Now I give the edge to Wlad. Watch prime Lewis vs Željko Mavrović.

You are naive, foolish and dont know your boxing..One thing saturday night showed was that Wlad cant handle even the slightest pressure, then he gets vulnerable..Prime Lewis would have attacked early and violent, in the process knocking Wlad out inside 2 or 3 rounds..
Wlad is overrated, both as a boxer but also as a puncher.:deal

Sorry no disrespect to anyone but, wlads clinch up close policy wouldn't. Work with lewis. He simply doesn't know how to fighting the inside, lewis would bully and ko wlad :deal
