This. He took some flush shots from good punchers through his career, and faced a good deal of decent to good punchers. You only need to watch his fights to know that. Granite...No! Glass...No! Somewhere in between depending on who is judging it and their hate or love for the guy. Above average IMO, but not iron or granite by any stretch.
Heck yeah. If ordinary palookas like McCall or Rahman could shatter Lewis's shaky whiskers, a prime Tyson would have had him twitiching on the canvas within a round or two.:yep
Quote of the year - "Lewis has one of the best chins in HW history - even though he was KO'd by Rahmen and McCall"
Theres really only one answer to this This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Why go to the bother of a rematch Kennox kicked Klitschko's ass when barely 8o % prepared What he'd do to Vitali at 100% wouldnt be pretty so I'll just repeat' This content is protected This content is protected
Lennox won 2 rounds. He was far from kicking Vitali's ass. And nice random percentages. Instead of false opinions, I'll give you a fact: Lennox refused the rematch
This is moronic. So you're either saying he had the best defense in heavyweight history, because only two flush punches landed in his entire career, or you're saying you're an idiot. Which is it?
Lewis' chin was about a 7-7.5/10, with Ali being a 10. And fighters such as Holyfield, Tyson, Frazier etc. being about 8-9 I'd say his chin wasn't the strongest attribute he had, but it was good enough to allow him to be the best heavyweight of the '90's in a pretty damn good division.
I am not sure I would call it an iron chin? When I think of ATG chins among HW's he does not come to mind. He has a very good chin, much better than his detractors say. He is likely the next level w/ a solid chin, but not quite Iron.
I like Lennox as much as the other guy.. But to say he has one of the best chins is laughable.. Not even in the same category as Ali's..
Who cares how many rounds Lewis won at the time of the TKO?! This still baffles me, how people argue so much over who was winning before a fight was stopped.:huh
I agree.. There is also no argument that Lewis has one of the best chins at HW. I don't think he has a glass jaw, but saying one of the best is a big stretch..
Lewis only got hurt against guys that could bang? Is that why he was practically out on his feet against Mavrovich? Mavrovich is a huge puncher all of a sudden, he will be delighted to know. Brittards...
