He says after he heals from surgery he intends to be very busy.

This is a bad idea. He should hang em up.

Lyakhovich should have fought Vlad for a big payday, instead he got knocked out by Helenius, at least he would have made a huge payday getting knocked out by Vlad instead!

He actually looked good against Helenius. I think he should fight on but aim for someone like Adamek, Chambers or Povetkin. A boxer, not a puncher. Briggs and Helenius weren't good matchmaking for him, and he didn't have the style needed to beat Valuev

I think he should continue. Have one last shot and hopefully beat a top 10 fighter

He has suffered four brutal KO's now, and the fight with Lamon was cumulatively worse than any of them. Hang them up.

If you look on Boxrec, it seems that his succes has inspired quite a few young Belarussian heavies to give it a go. He should pick the best one and train him.

He has been way too inactive, he should get some easy fights and then go for a title against, well, won't be too long until we will have a hundred world titles, so he can have his pick. LOL!

I agree....Vitali will be gone after 2012, Wlad, after 2014/15. Sure. Sergei will be 37 by then, but he could pick up one of the vacated belts again by simply knocking off Cclass fighters and Dclass cans prior to getting a shot.

3 brutal KOs, he lost to Valuev on points :good

I don't think he'll be a major beltholder again, not even WBA- but I'd like to see him have one more significant win before retiring

I'd give Sergei a fair chance against Povetkin.

Why should he hang em up ? He didn´t look shot. No shame in getting stopped by Helenius. Dude has some frightening power.

Me too, unless the brutal KO loss to Helenius took something (further) out of him.

    No problem with that.

There's no shame in getting KO'd by Helenius, there's no shame in getting outpointed by SNV and there's no shame in beïng KO'd by punchmachine Briggs while ahead on points.
Don't know who the other guy was who stopped him, but it doesn't matter much. He really is one of the better fighters out there, and a WBA strap isn't hard to get these days.

If he keeps away from bangers I give him a good chance of making some noise in the division. His workrate and skill are excellent.

White Wolf should fight boxers like Adamek, Chambers, Chagaev...

Povetkin isn't much of a puncher, so that would make a good winnable fight too.
