It won't change anything but it will put the pressure on Wilder in his next bouts if he indeed hits behind the head on purpose, which is still to be proven.
As much as I like Liakovich he doesn't really have a case here. He was dry as a bone coming in and got caught cold. The first punch, which finished him, landed on the temple and the second punch landed on the back of the head as Liakovich was already going down.
Well apparently his team is serious, they're preparing to file a formal complaint with the athletic commision.
And rightly so... That guy just hit him and the referee was just standing there doing nothing. What kind of a sport is this as grown man are allowed to hit eachother in the head?! Somebody could get seriously hurt here. :verysad
LOL, when Russians lose, they ALWAYS come up with some lame excuses. Even Vitali had an excuse when he got his azz whipped by Lewis.
I just watched it..... are u kidding me... I saw i punch a check hook left that maybe went wide and landed toward the back side or the ear, but SL was rushing in... no way was it intentional and that punch didnt seem to bother SL..... all the other punches and the KO were right on the button. IMO this is a guy (SL) who is embarrassed he got KO'd in the first round.... NO WAY this gets overturned
Thing is he has a valid point. I always thought Audley should have complained about been hit by Wilder multiple times when he was already on the canvas. Watch the fight, Audley gets hit once and stumbles back into the ropes, gets hit again and goes to one knee and then Wilder still keeps swinging and hitting him. Either he's a dirty fighter with no class or he just genuinely has no idea how to box.
i think this is a way for Liakhovich to convince himself he is not that bad and make comeback he is in denial same as Audley Harrison altought harrison was never a champ!
Sergei is Belarussian and Vitali is from Ukraine. I know geography might not be your strongest side, but please respect nationalities.
