UD. from Fightnews "Former WBO heavyweight world champion Siarhei Liakhovich (26-6, 17 KOs) won a slow-paced eight round unanimous decision over local fighter “Bad” Chad Davis (5-12, 1 KO) on Saturday night at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. Scores were 80-74, 79-73, 79-73. Liakhovich ended a three-fight losing streak."
Liakhovich comes to fight, Fraudley doesn't... Both are past it, but the differences lies in that at one point Liakhovich was a belt holder, and Fraudley has chocked in every big fight of his, blown out in the early rounds every time he talked himself into a big one... I'm more interested in a rematch with Briggs, that'd be a nice novelty fight, a rematch with Harris would be cool as well.
From bulgarian site : Liachovic is considered as next opponent for Pulev, together with-Maskaev,Bidenko,Fedosov and Bakhtov. Sauerland and Pulev trying to get some easy fight before mandatory with Wlad.
That would be a ridiculously easy fight for Pulev. The other names aren't threatening either to say the least.
Why not Hammer? I think he would be a good scalp for Pulev, and not that hard of a fight. I hope he doesn't fight white wolf.... It would be another beatdown for Liakhovich who has probably taken too many as is.... If he wants to stick around, i'd like to see him rematch Harris and Briggs, if he were to avenge those two losses then he could retire on a positive note.
Current threat level, ranked most to least: Bakhtov Fedosov Liakhovich Bidenko Maskaev Of course, that ordering would look different if three of them weren't shot to various-sized bits.
I just asked a sports journalist in Bulgaria about that, who talks to Pulev regularly. He says Pulev is not in negotiations with Liakhovich. There's nothing in the Bulgarian media about Liakhovich being considered.
