He "beat" Holyfield the way he "beat" all of the world class fighters he faced - holding excessively, and, worse, in this case, faking low blows to avoid being counted out!:yep

isnt the trainer of Liakhovich one of Holyfields cornermen? I think he is, if so why would he want another fight with Ruiz?

I guess you missed the firstRuiz vs. Holyfield bout, in which Ruiz clearly out boxed Evander for a full 12 rounds, only to be robbed in one of the worst decisions in the history of the heavywieght division? I guess Don King couldn't use his magic wand to save hime that night? Or perhaps, just perhaps, you want Ruiz to loose so badly that when he wins legitly, you cry foul every time?

Either way, Ruiz would fair pretty well against S.L. He has looked very well in his last couple fights, and could give just about any HW trouble(Except maybe Wlad). He would out-box Peter to an easy UD.

You're joking, right? Close, perhaps. Debatable, maybe.

Robbery? One of the worst decisions of all time?? You MUST be pulling my leg - only a complete nuthugger would say something like that!!:nut

The fight was close as I recall it, I could see a Ruiz win there but that third round might have been the deciding factor in the fight, and ever since that fight Ruiz learned how to hold, anyhow the first fight I had Holyfield winning by two rounds.
but you could make a case for Ruiz, the rematch yeah Ruiz won but that was after he was stopped by a Body shot, I dont know why the ref took the word of Ruiz there he didnt see the shot so by the rules he shouldnt have called it, there was a left to the liver that sent Ruiz down but that second hook to the body was borderline and that is what saved John
The third fight Evander clearly won

You're joking? Right? The only time Ruiz actually "beat" a declining Holyfield he had to fake low blows to pull it off, not to mention hold excessively. Surely you cannot be suggesting that that glorified clubfighter would beat a prime Holyfield?? :patsch
