Sergei brutalizes Ruiz and decisions Valuev. :smoke

Then it's a pickem showdown with Sultan for his old belt.

Why would Liakhovich take either of these fights? Why not Brock or someone who would provide fewer oddball stylistic issues? Sounds like a bad set of choices for a "rebound" fight.

    Valouev will knock Lyakhovich out.

Ruiz will win by decision or TKO.

I like Lyakhovich over Ruiz, Valuev, and Ibragimov...if he comes in like he did against Brewster which is probably a big if. From what I have heard, Lyakhovich wasn't all that impressive before, so the Brewster win may have been the fight of his life.

Sergei also beat Guinn in a close but good fight. Back & forth action with Liakhovich just being busier and occasionally beating Dominick to the punch for the decision.

Brock, for one, is clearly a better fighter. Even Chris Byrd, who is past his best, is better. Toney is far more skilled, and Briggs, although limited, at least has some skills.

Ruiz has NEVER really been one of the best US fighters. Without the excessive holding and other shenanagans - and King's influence to make it possible - he would have been lucky to win a regional belt.

Basically, Ruiz is Rob Calloway with connections - a limited regional fighter who was allowed to cheat his way to a level far beyond what he ever could have attained legitimately.

I had heard Chagaev was targetting Sergei, I guess SL doesn't want that fight. Valuev, especially the one that showed up against Chagaev, punishes and stops Liakhovich.
