This has been a very boring undercard to be honest. Hopefully the main event is better. Itauma is looking for gaps in the defence of Espindola but is struggling to find any.

I originally thought he would but not now. Espindola has come in the worst shape of his career. I thought Clarke legitimately stopped Espindola, but I checked on Boxrec and Espindola retired due to an injured hand.

This means Itauma will have been taken the distance in two consecutive fights after stopping all his previous opponents. Good learning for him at such a young age. Remember the guy Itauma fought last time just stopped Matty Harris last weekend on the Wasserman show.

Almost the perfect finish for a obviously controlled performance for a young 18 yro. Moses obviously listens to his corner & trainer and followed the game plan here to get the rounds in.

I'm sure Moses learned from this. How far he actually goes and what his potential is, is anyones guess.

 

Hardly the new born mike Tyson is he.

 

His last two opponents have been tough journeymen to be fair who can spring surprises. The talk is of him trying to break Mike Tyson’s record of youngest heavyweight world champion. I hope they don’t rush him too much as he is only 18.

I can see Davies beating Cunningham tonight and fighting Dennis McCann next providing he beats Baluta.

Round 1: Davies TKO

Liam Davies fighting orthodox and Jason Cunningham fighting southpaw. Davies starts off holding the centre of the ring attempting to establish his jab. He will have to be wary of Cunningham’s straight left hand which caused Gamal Yafai a lot of problems back in May 2021 on the Chisora Parker undercard.

Davies backs Cunningham to the ropes and Cunningham is stunned. His back turns away from Davies and the referee gives him a count so it counts as a knockdown. Davies throws a big left followed by a flurry of shots and the referee waves it off.

What a performance from Liam Davies. Absolutely incredible. I don’t think Dennis McCann will want to face Liam Davies after this. Fantastic performance.
