The bookmakers are stupid with boxing. Coral for example are obviously more clued up and have the same bet at 14/1. What other sport would you see disparity like that!?

I can’t bring myself to bet on him though, especially in this fight.

 

Do we know the fight order? Need to get some beers on the way home and I’m weirdly intrigued by the Allen and Clarke fight. Never liked Allen, thought he was a bit of a joke who didn’t even try yet Hearn pushed him on everyone because the ‘casual’ loved him. A lot of what’s wrong with the sport but I loved his great body shot ko of Browne. Ridded us of him for good haha.

I still believe that the Browne fight was a dive and match-fix to fleece the bookies. I posted on a thread some compelling evidence a while back but I cba searching for it. At the break after the round before the “KO” Browne says to his trainer “next round towel”. Browne was also very comfortable in the fight before the “KO”.

Anyway for me Allen is brutal to watch. A very poor boxer who was always in boring fights IMO. Always promised a big show and then stunk the joint out. He has come into this bout in awful physical condition and I’m convinced this fight with Clarke will be a snooze fest although I’d obviously love to be proven wrong on that.

 

Nobody was expecting Marku to end matters so fast, hence no swing match was in order.
