Why did Yarde make you do 180?

I was happy Eubank won last night but I cringed when he then called out Benn and Brook, just put him right back to being a fighter with no ambition. One guy is a drug cheat who’s already cost him a payday if Eubank simply dismisses that fight with Benn it really forces benns hand, he then has to fight the big boys as he has no other option. Brook is retired, shouldn’t even be mentioned.

The GGG fight would be interesting, GGG definitely slower these days so Eubank could stay on the outside, be disciplined and go for the points decision but he couldn’t afford even 1 mistake. But I’m not even sure if GGG even has any belts? Lara would be the guy I would go for if I was Eubank.

I’m not knocking smith don’t get me wrong he’s a top guy it seems, a proper genuine guy and a top fighter. I would say that in the build up he looked so confident, surely if he was injured he wouldn’t possess that. He was smirking the whole time almost in disbelief that Eubank thought he had a chance.

I am glad they both got a top win against each other as they both deserve it.

I think he thought he won so easily in the 1st fight that he could do it again in a fraction of the condition he was in in the 1st fight.

He also had big problems with the weight , he looked like he'd done 20 rounds by round 2 but that didn't dent his pre fight confidence either.

I genuinely think he thought he was so far ahead of CEJ in terms of ability that he only had to turn up to win.

Injured or not, confident or not, weight issues or not, you are always turning up rather than leave £1m+ on the table , if last night had fallen through he knew Benn v CEJ would have been happening instead.

Don't blame him at all, it's a lot of money and he's nearing the end of his career.

PPV cash makes people do strange things. He can be the nicest chap going but it’s still his living.

Fraze needs to cut at least another stone for my liking, a lot of his punches are ineffective and looks like your TV settings were switched to watch the fight on 0.25 speed.

Couldn't stand him but I've become a fan of his ever since the Beterbiev fight.

Yes, exactly. There's nothing to gain fighting the aforementioned fighters. Apart from money that is..If money is the only thing that motivates him then fair enough.

It's pretty terrifying you can board a plane with a loaded gun.

Not getting the praise tbh from fighters and fans. Yeh in one sense well done for coming back and facing someone who wiped you out a few months ago. But it's kind of like the bellew v haye scenario for me, maybe the injury not quite as bad but that was a terrible flat static version of Liam Smith, don't get what it proves about Eubank. Most would've beaten that version.

I get though that whilst the injury was unfortunate (both the back one before and the ankle one) it still shouldn't mean you gain 42lbs in weight, you can keep weight off being inactive by dieting as a pro with a big fight coming up that's what he should've done. And none of that's Eubank fault but he beat a shell of Smith there, it's a shame cos both of them fully fit would've been interesting

Ankle injury or not that was brilliant from Eubank. Controlled, measured performance. Stayed out of range, great use of the jab and didn’t waste much.

Liked Eubank’s interview in the ring after. I know he plays a character to sell fights but you can tell he’s a good bloke deep down.

Smith looked flat as a pancake from the off, similar to his teammate Josh Taylor against Lopez. Both had weight to lose and both had injuries beforehand meaning the weight cut will have been in a lot lesser timeframe. Did they both get run into the ground by McNally and team in order to make it? Both fighters looked shot and out of ideas in their fights. Wouldn’t surprise me if their camps were all about the weight cut and hardly any actual boxing training or game plans.

You do realise the first fight , Eubank had to cut weight to fight Connor Benn and was also months previous dealing with his brother death, but nobody let eubank off the hook.

Liam Smith for a guy who doesn’t make excuses is making a lot of excuses
