His ankle was shot, well what happens when a fighter is injured and cannot continue? They stop the fight and it's a TKO.

I'm still not sure what happened.
If it's his ankle, he slipped on it earlier but didn't twist it again.
Still, they should ban advertising from the ring canvas. There are far too many incidences of fighters slipping on them recently.

The three of them in the ring are all **** tbh..
Smith punches him 4 times when the opponent is down. Mwakinyo went down twice for no reason.. and the referee is just too eager to stop the fight!

Looks to me like Mwakinyo voluntarily went to the canvas twice. Like it or not, those are counted as knockdowns

    Can we sack these referees?

If someone wants to carry on fighting then let them fight. I fully understand protecting a fighter who cannot defend himself but this was a long way from that.

Stoppages like this kill the sport.

Saw that in the replay, oh well... the ankle was gone, why put off the inevitable?

The very moment hassan twisted his ankle, it was clear as water that he was ready to take an easy way out.

his body language was yelling like no tomorrow that he didnt want to be there at all.

If they were legitimate KDs, why wasn't Liam punished for punching him as he was on the ground, and why wasn't Mwakinyo given time to recover after being punched as he was down?

Did his people in Tanzania bet on him getting stopped in the 3rd perhaps? It's otherwise inexplicable. None of those were true slips, but neither was he hit or hurt.

I felt that he had his best moment just after he twisted his ankle. But yeah, he was definitely on his way out. Ref still shouldn't have stopped it, and should have penalized Smith for punching a man as he was down.

I don’t think Smith is going anywhere at the highest level.

The heavyweight fight stoppage was worst. No punch landed. No complaint from the guy case it was such a mismatch and he just wanted out.
