According to IFL and Eddie Hearn this fight is being discussed for November. This would be a big fight in Australia I think it will be a good fight Paro will start as the rightful favorite but my man George always comes to fight and I think now that he is over 30 he has been making 135 for a very long time I reckon he will be more comfortable at 140. The good old New South Wales v Queensland rivalry will be good fun let's OGG Lad!
This would be a great fight for both of them Middy. Kambo has the name and Paro has the title. If Liam wins that lifts his profile immensely at home and George gets up he can chase the money fight against Teo. Would be the biggest domestic scrap since Berries vs Lynch.
No doubt the biggest domestic fight since Berries v the Lynch kid. I wanted to see George fight Liam Wilson but this will be a much bigger pay day for him and a shot at a world title in a second weight class. Yep if George pulls the upset and I think he has the style to beat Paro then a rematch with Teo would be another big fight for him. If Kambosos loses then the Liam Wilson fight is still there for him. If Paro Kambosos is signed I reckon it will be at the Cowboys Stadium in Townsville where they had Jeff Horn v Tim Tszyu
How does Kambo keep getting these title shots? I mean it's a decent fight and one I'm sure native Ozzies will crave but for the rest of us it's a bit.......yeah. He should be fighting someone else coming off a loss to get his career back on track, especially if he's moving up in weight.
Kambosos is somewhat underrated/disrespected these days. He earned himself the IBF mandatory spot by beating a few good names. And he then upset Teofimo Lopez. The Haney rematch happened because the first one was a financial hit for Top Rank. And because he got a gift decision of Hughes, he remained a top ranked contender with the IBF, which lead to a fight with Loma because both are with Top Rank. The Paro fight would happen simply because both are Australian and it makes sense financially. Kambosos is still one of the biggest names in the division.
Yep Kambosos is definitely underrated and it’s because he doesn’t take easy fights and he usually goes in as the underdog. He could’ve been like other fighters and had a few soft touches but he hasn’t done that. The last gimme type fight for George would’ve been almost 5 years ago.
