Deserves his own thread now after becoming a World Champion and proving many doubters wrong.

    Paro impressed me.

He's not overly dynamic but he's got quick hands and feet, moves and boxes intelligently, and hits hard enough to keep upper echelon fighters honest.

And he's got solid whiskers and very clearly a big ticker.

This is a bit random but he reminded me of Gabriel Campillo. The way he threw in combination and placed the shots rather than loading up on everything. I'm just glad he didn't get robbed like Campillo often did!

Very good boxer. Obviously in great shape to throw constantly over 12 rounds.
Wish he had a bigger punch. He does resemble a late career Slappy Joe Calzaghe.

He'd slap the crap out of Catterall.

I think he hits hard enough when he sets himself and throws shots with real intent, Franklin. See the Montana Love fight.

Against Matias, he may have opted to put a little less on his shots to avoid over - committing and providing unnecessary openings. He may also have been keen on conserving energy, knowing Matias's reputation for stamina and carrying his power late.

Paro is very solid but not elite. Only guy he may beat out of the elite 140 pounders is Teo if Teo has an off night.

Those would be really solid fights, tough to pick a winner.

Yes, he does have quite a few KO's and TKO's on his record, including Love and I remember that fight where he looked stronger.
If the Matias fight was the only Paro fight you've ever seen you could come away with the idea that he's a powerpuff but you make good points regarding avoiding Matias' supposedly super powers and his good stamina.

It's possible that Matias just had a bad night, being in front of his home crowd and having Tito Trinidad in the audience, but that would take away from a very good performance by Paro. A bit of both, I think. Eddie H is adamant there is no rematch clause as I suppose he is wanting to ride the Paro train for as long as possible. I think Matias should get another shot at the belt.

You are delusional or a troll. lol

Catterall is proven himself as one of the best in the divsion after his wins over former undisputed Josh Taylor

Hitchins is a bum!. Hitchins has no chance against Liam Paro! none!
