What a fighter he is. One of the most underrated fighters in the sport. Great performance at the weekend.

He's a tough as **** warrior who gets better and stronger as the fight goes on, solid all rounder

He mixes up his shots up beautifully to the head and body using intelligent pressure. Relentless style that grinds you down, solid chin and pure grit, determination and toughness.

Loved watching him fight ever since he had a british title war with Eric Ochieng all them years ago.

Really hope he becomes a 2 time world champ now and think there's a strong chance of that happening.

I really like his style of fighting and have enjoyed following his career. Why does this feel like a retirement thread lol

Yup I always said Beefy is fringe world level. Sort of fighter who does everything well but nothings spectacular. He has improved his all round game since then. Hats off, Liam is some fighter.

I think because he went fully grey at an early age people think he's as old as Gandolf and been fighting for centuries. Quality fighter though.

He's been massively underrated for years - he's a solid and well rounded fighter. Thought he gave Canelo a much better go than brother Callum did.

Doesn't do anything spectacular but does everything well. The way he mixed it up to head and body on the weekend was superb... didn't give Vargas any room to breathe either.

He systematically broke Vargas down round after round and then forced the stoppage - basically what he said he'd do.

He is underrated and a tough opponent but at this stage of his career I do not see anything to get excited about and only see a repeat of his previous world title attempts. Fights using his head as third fist. As noted in other threads his best value from a fans perspective lies in fighting a Brook or Eubank rather than another world title shot.

Excellent performance. Made Eubank work all the time and he didn't look when he was being asked to out jab Liam.
Great stoppage and a big win. Should get himself a big fight or 2 this year and then maybe call time on a very good career.
