You're missing the point. The quote isn't "Groves hasn't beat anyone brilliant / WC" the quote was that he's lost all of his big fights, which simply isn't true. I'd argue the majority of what you mentioned were big fights

 

Has anyone seen Groves spar recently? how's his shoulder looking? It's the only thing that has made me not put a bet on yet.

 

I understand Liam Smiths point, Groves has lost to all his best opponents (Jack, Froch x 2). His best win isnt better than Callum Smiths best win either as Skoglund DeGale when he was British level, Chidinov or Eubank are not better than Skoglund was.

 

That's not the argument. Groves has won big fights.

 

How on earth can you say he won the first Williams fight fairly, scissors? The second fight yes, but that eye gash that happened in the worst place possible was the result of a deliberate headbutt. Williams was winning that fight.

As for the thread, yeah I laughed when I seen the title of that video.

I think he was referring his biggest fights, which is true. I think he could have phrased it better.

 

Gallagher fighters during the last couple of years have a terrible record in big fights.

 

Clearly not true...he’s been in a number of big fights.

Also I’d argue he beat Jack...Froch I was controversial...

Callum Smith hasn’t had a big fight to lose...

 

I'd say the Eubank, Chudinov and DeGale fights were all big and he won those. Also smashed "World Level" Paul to bits.

 

They’re all middleweights.

 

I wouldn't say DeGale or Chudinov are middleweights.

 

What a weird thing to say when Chudinov and Degale have never fought lower than SMW as pros.

 

And when it comes down to the crinch, none of them are hard enough.
