Think this is a really good idea tbh. Jr probably struggling to make 160, getting older and stamina seems to be on decline. Targetting the body is a great way to slow the faster fisted fighter. Both arent exactly fleet footed, so I do expect a lot of infighting. I think they will both before targetting the body IMO. High guard Smith style does leave the body open a bit. I always thought that the left Hook to the chin was the best way of stopping Jr, he doesnt seem to read the left and as well as the right. I don't think this fight goes to the cards. Both fighters will put it all on the line IMO. Could easily go 12 mind you, but thats my prediction.
I also reckon CEJ will win fairly handily. However, the OP has a point about him potentially struggling to make 160 though.
It's good they're not neglecting CEJ's domestic challenges before stepping up to world level. No point rushing him into a world title fight...
I think this has the makings for a cracking fight. Both teak tough and game for a scrap. Smith does often seem to start slow, so it wouldn't surprise me if Eubank lights him up in the first 3 or 4 rounds but as Smith settles and gets into his rhythm there will be some very tasty exchanges. Smith does look basic at times but he does the basics very well and his shot variety when he goes head to body is quality. Looking forward to this one.
