Excellent signing for Boxxer and Eddie losing yet another headline UK fighter who he have high billing on the Taylor v Serrano card. This was after Smith was supposed to headline a US show himself.

Will they try and get the Smith v Eubank fight made? I'd pick Smith for that.

I'd be interested how they address the MTK links Smith had however.

Big lose for Eddie. No surprise though really with Charlo holding the belts and no chance he will fight on DAZN.

Smith Eubank at 160 then, potentially on PPV?

Don't get me wrong it's a great signing for Boxxer and I myself have been questioning Eddies UK based decisions as well..

But lets be honest if Hearn was about to make Smith vs Eubank on Sky PPV he would be getting slaughtered. "Oh here we go another cash grab PPV from Hearn involving a fight with no world title! Gotta shell out £25 again!" Is what it is

Been said before but being on the sky platform is real attractive for fighters.

    For a monthly service, we have two cards scheduled in the UK until 31 Aug;

    9th July
    Chisora vs Pulev
    Madrimov vs Soro
    Agyarko vs Maciev

Rest of the card TBA, at one weeks notice

    6 Aug
    Dalton Smith vs O'Maison
    Farias vs Sandy Ryan

    Rest of the card TBA.

Like **** me how bad has Matchroom UK got and they are losing more UK boxers

The UK schedule isn't great but you are ignoring the American content, and Joshua Usyk would be at the same time as a UK card.

To be fair, if you look at Boxxer, most of the cards have a good main event and then the rest of the card is full of TBA. Frank Warren has a few good cards including the one this weekend, but if you consider the fact he only promotes shows in the UK, it isn't great either.

I don't pay for Sky purely for Boxing, and AJ/Usyk looks likely to end up on Sky, and it would be on PPV even if it was on DAZN.

Their UK product is now woeful. Skys isn't good either I will add

How much is Sky a month ? £30-40? DAZN is £7.99 a month, and now it's the summer with no football you aren't getting that much content on Sky, unless you're a fan of F1 / cricket.

But DAZN would be 30-40 quid if it had all the rights that sky did so I dint get your point.

8 quid a month for a boxing stable is pretty steep when you break down how much each sport costs on Sky.

There’s no defending the content DAZN are putting out in the UK.

Rugby League, Golf, Rugby Union internationals just off the top of my head.

Out of all platforms sky is the one that has the summer sport content outside of football. If there nothing people wanna watch they can easily remove sky sports from TV package and sign back up when Premier League back..

Sky wouldn't have had world Cup coverage by the way. Every summer they have no football so this year is no different.

And if you want proof of this go look at the price hikes in Italy, Germany, Japan for example.

In Poland they lost champions league rights but then went and still announced price hike.

I do think that fight is surely now on the cards?

Beefy has been one of the most underrated fighters around for years and is always in a good fight. As tough as they come.

That said... given his style he would basically "fight" Eubank and it would also surely be at 160 ? I'd have to say that I'd be favouring Eubank comes out on top.

Eubank struggles against movers but if someone is going to stand and basically have it out with him, then he's going to tear into you and I just think being the bigger man and having also fought up at 168 it would certainly favour him.
