I wonder if there will be a rehydration limit or will Canelo come in at his usual 175Ibs+ and be at the weight of fighting callum instead of Liam.

Good luck to Liam smith, massively up against it but hope he can pull it off, also gives me the exposure he deserves.

Is ****ing right Beefy lad. To think some people were saying he didn't really want to fight the names he was mentioning.

I've probably got no chance but how do you get tickets for this and how much would they be?

Hope Liam can do it. I Imagine the cowboy promoters of this PPV fraudster Alvarez will have forced Smith to take the fight above 154. The re-hydration clause from what I hear is non-negotiable with GBP.

Hey, look on the bright side, 172-plus Alvarez is ready to fight Golovkin..... sometime in the next 10 years.

I fear it will be the latter Dibbs. I thought the Mexicans only supported guys they saw as take-on-anyone warriors, but this guys career proves me profoundly wrong.

It's only the IBF who impose a rehydration limit of 10 lbs above the weight limit, come fight night. Aside from that, the only way a rehydration limit is imposed is if both camps agree to it.

Can't see that happening, to be perfectly honest. :-(

GGG vs Canelo has been tentatively agreed for September - November 2017. Canelo will probably bottle out of the Golovkin fight -- again -- and fight Broner at a 155 Caneloweight instead.:lol::lol:

Even for a date late next year, Loeffler apparently can't get Fishnets and friends to put pen to a legally binding contract. To think this guy and his promotional crew were once considered the saviour of our sport!

I hear you. Whatever happened to Oscar matching his fighters tough?

Switching gears: 'Fishnets and Friends' would be a great name for a Golden Boy-related sitcom. They could even show it on Boxnation! good

Smith is definitely making the right move here. A defeat doesn't hurt him and I assume it's well worth the payday.

Don't know about you or Smith deserving exposure. None of Smith's previous opponents are ranked in the world's top 80.
