I know a lad called James Hengler who is cousin's with Liam, he is unhappy with the judges for his only loss and has trained in wild card to gain experience. He is currently waiting on a sponsor and is looking to move out there permanently if possible. He is planning to do his best but realises he might go down as a journeyman. Living the dream for real and giving it his best :deal
Ive seen him fight a few time at Olympia shows. I think he is a relation of the Vaughan's who used to train the Smith brothers Joe Selkirk etc. He didnt impress me too much not going to lie could do with a bit more strength I think got a bit of a boys body and he got bullied into positions on the ropes when he didnt need to be . The other side of things is he seems to like a bit of a tearup he gets involved when he really needn't. I thought Matt Seawright gave him a few troubles when i saw them fight. That said I wish the lad well that is only my unqualified opinion and im sure going to the states will do him the world of good. :good
:deal as you say mate, its all about enjoying life and making the most of the breaks you get in life. Yeah he is related to the Vaughn's who are a notorious boxing family as you know. He is signed by Maloney I believe. Me and his cousin James Hengler are pretty close and he's always talking about Liam. Hengler sent me text just saying a building firm from Liverpool are looking to sponsor him so all is looking good for the lad :good
Thought Liam showed a little bit of promise in his last fight but there where quite a few things to work on. He had a decent arsenal of punches but at the same time he had no head movement whatsoever. All his good work was visually negated when you saw his head getting snapped back time and time again. If the Wildcard boys have seen something in him, then good luck. I think he needs quite a bit of time and effort though.
