There is nothing wrong with Mitchell's chin, Burns is the only man to put him down and he was stopped on his feet against Katsidis.
But I had a wee laugh when I seen an intervene when Kevin said "Ricky's not a big puncher" well he had us all going last Sept, I really like Kevin but he would never beat Ricky Burns
Harrison of old was world class, I won't deny that but we are talking quite a few years ago now and being in prison or on the booze heavily is hardly going to benefit him now he's in his mid 30s, Harrison is not the same fighter.
I know for a fact Mitchell was offered the harrison fight before Walsh and knocked it back. I wonder why?
Agree totally. I thought ''**** off Kevin''. Ricky smacked him around the ring like a ragdoll. It's always excuses with the lad..
Scott IMO should have moved up after fighting Wayne,he was way to big for the weight but the choice was peters nobody else. I cant agree with the comeback fight and there is a story behind the second comeback fight as well, I do hope your right that a different Scott turns up he WILL NEED TO IM AFRAID! Eithier way neither Liam or Scott could touch Ricky both would be beaten before being stopped
It was strange that after Scotts comeback Morrison said he had no intention of making a fight between him and Ricky because it wouldnt be fair on Ricky to match him with a has-been, only later there were articles claming Morrison had a big summer showdown in mind between Ricky and Scott Ricky himself when asked basically said that Scott didn't deserve a shot, point blank, im paraphrasing but thats what he was saying
but he was top ten and had that good KO over John Murray, John still got a shot at Rios afterwards speaking of Vazquez, would the IBF even rank Harrison even IF he managed to get past Walsh? I doubt it
This is one of the most laughable championship fights in a British ring for a long long time. Harrison's only form in 7 years is a titanic struggle against a domestic novice. His name is being used to sell tickets and boost the promotion with a fight he deserves no part of. I expect to see Liam put him away inside 3 rounds.
The difference being Scott was not on the fringes, he was and still could be world class. Mitchell is at best a European level fighter.
I should of made clearer that Mitchell is fringe world class, Harrison in his day was definitely world class but to say that he still could be? Is pushing it a bit, If he beats Walsh then he gets all the praise in the world but it will only prove he is back in the mix at domestic level, there is still a big gap between that and European level, let alone world.
