Liam Walsh v Harrison

Problem is Billy there are 3 fights most people want to have, they are Broner, Vasquez and Scott, and he has knocked them all back ! Some people think that is a bit odd for a guy who claims to be the best ! And if Scott comes back and wins a major title it will put his legacy way beyond what Ricky could ever achieve, as people will just remember the fact he turned a fight with scott down. You say it would prove nothing, in the last 18 months or so Ricky has fought Mitchell and Cook (well that was worst so called fight ever), what did they prove? You were then prepared to fight Walsh, that you say if Scott beats will only prove he is at domestic level, so why did Ricky agree to a world title fight v someone at domestic level ? it all seems double standards. Lets face it Ricky is getting more protection than Obama !

 

Alot of people would argue if Vazquez is elite. He's a level above what Ricky has fought but he's not very popular because he's boring. If Ricky did a number on Vasquez he still wouldnt get respect by some in the boxing community. For Ricky to get respect he has to step up a weight and fight some of the overrated lot up there, like Rio's, Garcia, Khan. Its just the way it works. IMO 2 more fights at lightweight, the nxt one then maybe Vasquez and then he should get up to lightwelter and beat some of the over hyped twats up there.

 

See your facts are not there again Moog, Scott doesn't deserve a shot yet surely you can see that or are you Peter yourself, Scott is 2,3,or,4 fights away from fighting Ricky mate,to be perfectly honest at present it's a mismatch,read what other people on the forum say please you are very very deluded!
Ricky never had a choice but to fight Liam who is a very good fighter and who will beat Scott,but wouldn't have in Scott's prime.
once Ricky's forced mandatory is dealt with he will unify titles and become a known fighter world wide something Scott wasn't.
Also you give Mitchell a hard time he would beat Scott so would Gavin Rees.

Kebede was a joke, but was the unbeaten mandatory fight. Least Scott punched him to floor, cook fell to floor holding his back, no punch done that. He was retired until that fight, was not mandatory so Ricky choose to fight a guy that just came out of retirement for this fight. So what did Cook do to earn the fight (should not have got his purse for that)?

 

It is just not scott though its two unification fights he has turned down. You say he wants to unify the titles then turns down fights that if he won would enable him to do so ! Glass jaw Mitchell and Midget Rees beat Scott, you really are having a laugh Billy. Mitchell had chance to fight Scott, he turned it down, and for good reason he would get knocked out.

surely no one actually thinks that harrison deserves a shot a burns right now? if he demolishes liam walsh then follows this up with another victory, perhaps someone like mitchell, then we have a fight. at the moment? **** no. the obvious question is, is team harrison just looking for the biggest payday before he gets locked up again in spain or just has another episode anywhere else.

 

It doesn't look like Broner is too interested in sticking at 135 anyway.
