Liam Walsh v Harrison

OF course Ricky should be aiming to fight these guys in unification fights, that should be natural ! I think some people are forgetting both these guys have offered to fight Ricky in the UK (Broner at a few days over as well as offering Ricky by far and away his biggest payday to go to the states), he has however chosen not to take these big fights on ! That is the facts of the situation

 

I will put up a poll no problem to see if people think Ricky should have fought either Broner, Vasquez or Scott ? I think fans of Ricky should face facts there man has been offered huge. Unification bouts in the UK and has turned them down. Yes Broner might now not fight again at lightweight but that's because Ricky turned down his numerous offers to fight at that weight.

 

people we are all for vazquez and broner, a poll should he fight scott is what we want.

Vasquez was ment to happen and it never but could easily happen soon.

I know that you claim to have been instrumental in Scott's rise yet all you did was carry the training gear and work him on the pads. Any game plan came from Peter ,with very little or no input from you.
I also know that you wouldn't be anywhere near Ricky if it wasn't for Peter and Scott so you should give them more respect.

 

Haha Alex Morrison asked me to coach Ricky coz Peter knew scot was going to prison and took the amature job.
Tell me how I wouldn't have got anywhere near Ricky?

Peter has had zero imput with Ricky,so just can't see where your coming from.
Ps Peter and Scott know my number or than can call Alex if they need quality sparring but they have already said no thank you

 

Are you referring to the time you offered scott to spar ricky when scott was world champion? thats about ten year ago when burns was an 8 fight novice ffs a world champion like Scott would not have wasted his time, i mind seeing ricky fight at paisley and everyone ****ed off for a pint when he was fighting because he bored everyone to death.

 

Not making things up Billy, Broner was on sky sports with Johnny Nelson offering to step in at a few days notice to fight Ricky in London ! I am sure i was not the only one that seen it. The interview was at some other boxing bill.

I'll tell you where iam coming from Peter gave you a chance in his gym when you had very little boxing experience and you disrespect him on forums when you should be thanking him. Do you think Alex would have gave you the chance with Ricky without that experience? No chance.
I am not taking anything away from what you've done with Ricky but don't claim to have been instrumental with Scott when you were not.

 

What i said was there are 3 people that there are a lot of boxing fans want to see Ricky fight, never said on all instances it is the same boxing fans, but it is clear there are a lot of people that want him to fight Broner, a lot want him to fight Vasquez, and a lot want him to fight Scott. Personally i think Broner and Vasquez fights should have been his priority, but now we know Ricky has turned fights down with these guys you have Scott who if ricky still wont fight Broner/Vasquez deserves a shot if he beats walsh, after all ricky agreed to fight Walsh for a world title so why not a big name compatriot if that person beats Walsh ? Not saying Scott, and have NOT said scott deserves a chance before them two, but Ricky clearly does not presently want Unification fights!

 

I agree, Peter i believe has trained a few world champs, with Billy he has only been trainer to 1 to my knowledge. In my work place i have always respected those that gave me a chance and mentored me, i would never have cheap pops at them, take Alex Arthur his biggest mistake was ever leaving Peter harrison's camp. I assume by billy's comments Peter was offered, or would have been offered to train Ricky first but he left for the top amateur post instead.

 

Except they don't, stick a poll up and see who actually wants to see it, many on this thread 4 or 5 ? Most fans DON'T wants to see a 35 year old alcoholic ned fight the countries number 1 fighter apart from a few casual fans, Scott Harrison fans and tesco so they can get money instead of being robbed.

 

To be fair Billy, Scott had far less talented sparring partners than Ricky at that time.
Fights like abylan Ricky would have been ideal if only for his speed but we all know what Scott struggles with, that was the real reason.
