Speed is power of course, but scott throws fast punches as walsh will find out. Scott has been continous training, am not saying there has not been the odd week in that period that he's not, but the very fast majority of the time he has. Even a piece in daily record from a journalist who has never meet him about how he runs up the hill past his house every day for the last year. Why would he not keep training 3 times a day if he is fit enough to do so, as he says in his own words, my training used to be all about losing weight (when u were in his camp), but now its more about the boxing, practicing things, planning things. I am sure we will all see that on saturday. I think ****** thinks Walsh will win too, and Scott is a great stepping stone for him, but he will still be smiling when scott wins no doubt, as he cannot lose. Remember Walsh is a novice who has not fought in 9 months (a long time for someone so inexperienced). Though I think we as boxing fans should all respect Walsh for taking a risky fight on as let's face it Murray and Mitchell both shat themselves at the prospect of facing Scott. How risky saturday will tell, and we all know what I think.
My Prediction: I think Walsh will try and fight from distance, but he will be dragged into the trenches midway through the fight, and will get stopped in the senond half of the fight with a body shot. Billy I know you think Walsh will win, do you fancy points or a stoppage win for him ?
Its not is if Walsh is a puncher and was on jelly legs against Appleby, defo think Harrison can win if he as fit and training as hard moog says its a fight i am really looking forward to
I don't usually agree with W*rren, but what else can he do but cash in on Scott now. The only way he gets a shot at Burns is by somehow manoeuvring himself into a mandatory challenger position...and that is quite frankly bordering on fantasy. All evidence points towards a win for Walsh, but if Scott does manage to pull off the upset, he can probably look forward to a shot at Kevin Mitchell
I think you are seriously underestimating Liam, I personally think it will be a close fight for 4-5 rounds then liams speed and movement will tire Scott. With Liam stopping Scott about 7-8 rounds or win by clear point decision I'm only basing this on what we've seen in Scott's two comeback fights,if he boxes like that he's simple in for a long night
I must say Moog you say Scott is punching fast, that IMO was the only fault Scott had in his prime he never punched as fast as others,it was is strength and relentlessness that won him many of his fights
Come on Moog a reporter seen Scott out running somewhere he's ran for over 20 years. The odd week you say:rofl:rofl your also forgetting Scott hasn't boxed for 7 month as well and IMO that will affect him more than liam
No reporter said he has seen him daily Billy running up the hill. Yes 7 months without a fight is not ideal, but he has had 2 fights in 9-10 months, and has been training in that period, if i am not mistaken Walsh had a long enforced absence from training. So how do you predict that Liam will win Billy ? I have lost 24ib in last 7 weeks Billy, what exercise do you think that is boxing related is best for losing weight ?
That's what I'm saying, whatever else people say about W*rren he's not a mug. He was only keeping Harrison up his sleeve for an all Scots fight with Burns. As soon he lost Burns to Hearn he no longer had a use for Harrison. It's a similar situation to why he's keeping Enzo Macc going for when Hopkins turns down his latest magnificent offer to fight Cleverly.
If you have lost 24lb in 7 weeks mate whatever your doing is working, yes Liam has had a long break but he's younger and not abused his body in that time
