Just having a laugh through this long debate lol and this one popped up,are you sayings Scott's last two fights were exciting, never did Scott get an atmosphere like the Mitchell fight let alone 10,000 fans, remember they were struggling big time to fill braehead in Scott's last few fights,I reckon when Ricky comes through next month we could do 15-20k in Glasgow for a unification

the first one was exciting, not the second one. Dont even think Scott was motivated for it (sorry he has admitted he wasnt) as small fights dont interest him. I agree with you Ricky will get that, has more fans that Scott because of his nice well mannered down to earth personality Billy

im not even sure that harrison is going to beat this walsh. i dont know a huge amount about him, but he looks like no mug himself. harrison needs to beat him well to even justify a shot at the layer of fighters that sit below burns level.

hes two fights minimum from even talk of facing burns and these would need to be exceptional performances. realistically hes three or even four fights away and thats hoping that ricky doesnt pull away into the type of proper world level fights that we all want to see him in.

You think the Mizsei fight was exciting ? Mizsei looked like he had just left school a few hours earlier and wasnt even near the same weight class as Harrison, boy looked like he needed a few proper dinners over at Billys house after sparring.

Yeah boy was mince, but it was exciting for the following,

    1) seeing scott in a ring again (most of us his fans never thought we would see it again)
    2) The great physical condition Scott was in, looked like a fully fledged welterweight in there
    3) Fact he was not as rusty as you would expect - looked really sharp considering
    4) He kept going forward, had guy down 4 times
    5) Showed glimses of his old self with some world class combo's
    6) He won with a stoppage.

Just couldn't get into it but for a Scott fan like yourself reason 1 alone is understandable, looking forward to the fight on Saturday a proper level check fight.

Yeah so am i, this is a challenge that Scott needs. It will answer pretty much all the questions to what Scott has in left tank. I just hope if he wins that people give him the credit he deserves for pulling off such an achievement considering the time he has had off from boxing. In saying that Walsh has not been active lately, last fight 9 months ago, 2nd last fight 20 months ago. Not very active for a novice (valid reasons for such long gaps, but still not helpful for him going into this fight).

See Moog that's we're your wrong if he wins he's beat a domestic champion and in your own words a novice.
Then Scott's got to beat at least two better opponents eg Rees or Mitchell and then and only then maybe step up several levels to Ricky can't see it happening Moog really

Yet this was a fight you were happy for Ricky to have as a defence?

You can't have the arguement both ways.

If you were happy for Ricky to defend a title against Walsh then you have to give Harrisson the props if he beats him.

If I could be bothered to trawl through the threads I am sure I could find one with you saying what a legit defence it was.

Best of luck with the up coming fights anyway. I'm more a fan of Ricky anyway and have been fully converted.

He comes across very well so I wish him all the best.

Read what I wrote mate,Moog said Liam was a novice not me,Liam Walsh is a very good fighter but truth be known Ricky didn't really want to fight him he wanted bigger challenges.
I'm glad your a fan and we can't wait till fight night, lots of hard work before then though.
