Plastic fans they may be but Haye vs Harrisson is the perfect example of a fight that happened like this. Harrisson has a profile and a decent win or two puts him inline because like it or not there would be the interest. I should point out I am in no way calling for this fight. I like everyone else wants to see ricky in with vasquez and Broner. As for Ricky, harrisson in a couple of fights could potentially be low risky high reward.
That was his strongest point Scott cut off the ring really well.. I don't think the footwork will be the same after all the years out. I was always impressed with his chin was like granite if he still has that punch resistance then Liam won't stop him with a sledge hammer.. If he still has the foot work and his chin is the same the I think he may have a chance.. I'm getting more excited about this fight every day just a shame that Fury is fighting same time much rather watch his fight so will be watching that and recording boxnation don't really care about the Matchroom card not very interesting to be honest apart from Cardle v Hughes
Yeah always looks comfortable and doesn't really get in a mess reaching etc. Natural movent and able to pressure fighters with his footwork.
They will shout him out and walsh if he wins will maybe have call to seeing as he was lined up for a shot before. Realistically I agree neither are deserving at the moment. I am really looking forward to being there. What started out as a **** card now looks pretty good!!!
Why do ans on this forum call Burns a ducker yet want him to fight Harrison? If he signed to fight Harrison he would be slated to high heaven. Burns is a prime world champion, Harrison is a past prime beer monster. Burns would utterly smash him to bits, winning every second of the 1 round it would last. And for the record Harrison has looked far from good in his comeback, I genuinely wish him well I followed his career for years. Great that he can make a few quid but Burns would be all wrong for him. If he manages to win this weekend which I doubt, get him in with Mitchell and see how he gets on. Mitchell would also destroy him at this point.
No he didn't say that, i remember the interview after the fight and i read a later interview from McCullough on the Harrison fight. McCullough said Naz was the hardest puncher he faced but Scott was the strongest, so strong he couldn't get his own shots off. Physical strength does not always = great punch power. McCullough said Harrisons strength was phenomenal and that hitting him was like hitting a wall. He never mentioned his power. If you've watched alot of Scott then it should be clear he doesn't have great ko power, he had clubbing shots and immense strength that gave him the ability to push fighters back easily, and knock them off balance. Scott more wore fighters down than he did knock them out. The size and strength Scott had was energy sapping for his opponents. Scott's other great asset was his ability to relentlesley close fighters down, his footwork was good and he was accurate with his punches. The guy was a machine in his prime but not a huge puncher.
Billy Nelson Ricky Burns wasn't even the best Super featherweight in Scotland let alone Great Britain, how did he go from never having a decent win in his whole career to suddenly becoming a two weight World champion all in the space of a few years? It's can't of just been "hard work and dedication"....did you bring in a strength and conditioning coach or nutritionist on to the team? What is the "Secret" Billy?
