Theres no secret,Ricky had some talent and had to learn other things, but most importantly hes always had a excellent boxing brain.
He doesnt have any other coaches or a nutitionist, he learns in the gym and does all his runs ect himself.
And beleive me when i say theres more improvement in him.
To be fair he did beat Graham Earl in his early days

I remember watching him against Arthur and Johanneson and thinking he was a brave kid with some decent boxing skills but would never amount to anything more then British level as he lacked that "something extra".

Billy...you need to be getting far more praise for what you've done for Burns and i hope he realises it. I'm surprised boxers all around the country aren't banging down your door for you to train them as you should have a full stable on your hands.

Thanks for your kind comments and i hope Ricky continues to entertain people in his fights.

Billy I reckon Scott will come into this fight at about 11 stone 7lbs on the night will probably be a whole stone heavier than Liam. Do you not think that could be the difference. The more I watch both fighters the more I think Scott can do it.. He grinds opponents down and I can't see Liam staying away for very long.. He's also quite young and inexperienced I'm comparison to Scott and Scott's style was always to Bully people. Apart from Appleby Walsh hasn't really fought anyone and was very very lucky that Paul tired.. I've watched that fight 3 times this week and Liam doesn't seem to have the power to really trouble Scott? He has the speed but do you not think Scott will eventually walk him down? Are you going down to watch or will you be going to Blackpool?

Yes your right he did say he never thought it was the same guy in ring, he thought it was his big brother. I remember a few months after reading interview of mcculloughs when he said it, and he said it on a q & a on his website, and how he thought scott would beat all the top fighters at that time like barrera, moralas

I've took all the 6s Moog, best price at present 11/2 Skybet, most are 9/2 and even a 7/2 in there

Would still feel happier with a 12 round fight to be honest but always happy to take a value bet.
