Liam Williams is a 5'10 23 year old Light Middleweight with a 13-0 8 KO's record. Born in Church Village, Wales, United Kingdom and fighting out of Clydach Vale, Wales, United Kingdom. Liam who had a very good amateur career winning 44 of his 49 bouts turned pro back in 2011 at the young age of 18 under the tutelage of Nathan's father Vince Cleverly then moved on to work with current trainer Gary Lockett. His career was moving along at a gingerly pace until he injured his hand in a match in 2014 which required surgery, keeping him out of action for the majority of 2015. However he came back with a hell of a bang on the undercard for Saunders-Lee with a 2 round beatdown and KO victory over Kris Carslaw who had never been stopped before not even by Michel Soro. Liam in my opinion an all around better fighter than fellow his Light Middleweight Liam the Beefy One. Liam is an accurate punch with a good straight right, throws nasty right and left hooks, good punch selection, good footwork, decent defense and good combination puncher he's a really solid fighter. So Check Out The Machine Of Wales In Action. :toney:toney:toney:toney

The Machine isn't a nickname I came up with, that was his. Really lacking in originality.

He seems to have a nervous tick of blinking and rolling his eyes, I hope its nothing neurological, but it kind of looks that way.

Do you think he'll do well against Canelo if picked as his next opponent?

That was Liam Smith that was being rumored against Canelo, I think that would be a walk in the park for Canelo, Liam Williams would be a far harder matchup IMO, but at this point I'd give Canelo the edge here too.

You're more than welcome Serge.:good I had the slot ready for a thread for him in my Educate Yourselves Master thread and British Invasion (everyone don't attack me, I know he's Welsh) thread about a year ago, but it totally slipped my mind, thanks for reminding me. He looked spectacular against Carslaw.

I don't know how good he will go on to be but he's definitely one of the most talented and promising prospects in the UK, IMO. I see a bright future for him if he's matched correctly and his hands hold up. :good

I'm probably going to do a thread on Callum Johnson in a few days, what's your thoughts on him?

My thoughts on him are it's ****ing freaky to see someone with such a Scottish name and face speak with an English accent.

He train's at my gym. What a nice lad he is. Glad you did this thread. Definately a prospect.

Was telling me the story of when he was on his way to Olympic trials and got a flat tire. Some dull cow ran him over. He never made it.

I've watched him fight a few times. Seems to be very strong at the weight. Blasting his opponents out with ease.

I'm from Church village too. Tiny little village in the valleys.
