Well when Calzaghe vacates his belts there will be a lot of belts out there. As I see Andrade has a decent chance against most contenders: Froch, Inkin, Mundine, Bika, Miranda, Lacy and so on. So yes he might take a belt. I'd like to see him against Lacy next - that should be a great fight
A lot depends on what happens next month with Hops and Calzaghe. If Calzaghe loses he still keeps his titles and remains at SMW for a few more fights. If Calzaghe hangs around, Calzaghe vs Andrade is possible but Andrade loses a UD. If Calzaghe retires without fighting Andrade, Andrade wins at least one of the belts probably the IBF. The WBC, WBC and WBO will be up for grabs and this is when, mark my words, Kessler, Mudine, Miranda and PAVLIK will be in the hunt for one of these belts.
I don't see Andrade being the undisputed SMW champion if Calzaghe retires. But I do see him winning at least one of the four belts.
While he's young and could still be effective with that tough style he could become a titlist. He'll never be elite, but he can give many top fighters difficult fights.
Andrade's next fight will be against Bute, given that Andrade is now the IBF mandatory challenger. The fight will most likely take place in autumn...September (??) In the meantime, Bute is planning to fight a second voluntary defence...against Larsen (??). If he gets past his next voluntary defence, Bute will fight Andrade.:good I think Andrade will have a good chance against Bute, because of styles. Pressure is the best way to beat Bute, I think. Andrade needs to work on that right hand more and on his jab. He should give Bute the hardest fight of his career. If he beat Bute, I think he can be a beltholder for quite a while. If he loses to Bute, I'd want him to get a shot at Mundine, whom I think he would beat. Alternatively, Bika or Miranda would be a good fight. My money is on Andrade v. Miranda in summer 2009, after they both win two fights after their respective defeats.
