At times Stieglitz's defence is as leaky as an old tube and no plumber can fix it.
On the other hand Andrade isnt that great either.A good fighter,but not really a top gun.
Could really go either way IMO.

You've got to give him one thing, though...for a 26 year old fighter fighting out of Germany, he is not afraid to fight tough/dangerous competition. He deserves a lot of respect for that and for the fact that he is looking to get to the top, not being instead content just making easy money on a padded record.

In Quebec, Interbox owns the fight. They will show it in La cage aux sports restaurants.

Problem, is if they did not pursue the rights, everyone could have seen it for free on TSN, i know who i'll cheer for next time an Interbox fighter steps into the ring

He is a damn likeable guy Andrade - really comes across as a good guy - although I would want to get in the ring with him.

I'm not sold on Stieglitz just yet. He looks like a good enough boxer but I question his decision-making. Seems to lose his head a bit and brawl at the wrong times. Andrade can be beaten by a boxer with good technique who can take a lot of good punches but I'm not convinced Stieglitz is that man. My money is on Andrade by stoppage before the tenth.

Andrade was back in the ring four months later and showed no ill effects from the defeat as he blasted out Teddy Muller in two rounds. I actually got hit harder later on in the fight than I did with that shot, but it was like perfect timing.

By the end of the round, Andrade was firing back and even had his wits about him enough to look up at the screens in the Mandalay Bay Events Center between rounds and admire Macks handiwork.

If somebody does good, even if its against me, I see it and I say whoa, that was good, he said. Ive got to admit it.

What happened next was typical Andrade take a shot, throw back three more, repeat. By the seventh round, he had worn Mack down and now it was time to finish. Three knockdowns later, he had his TKO victory and the USBA belt. On Saturday, Andrade will be back in action to face Germany-based Russian Robert Stieglitz on the Joel Casamayor-Michael Katsidis undercard at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, California. The winner gets a shot at IBF champion Lucian Bute. But keeping with tradition, Andrade hasnt scouted too much, leaving that business up to trainer Howard Grant.

I never watch fights of my opponents and Im really not a boxing fan, he said. Occasionally I go to fights when they invite me or when Golden Boy brings me to a fight and stuff like that, but Im not a boxing fan. I do it because this is the way I live and this is what Ive been doing for so long. Every time I see fights with my opponents, I always look at the good things they do, and then I start placing them in my fight and I say what if he does that to me? (Laughs) So I hate watching them fight.

But the fans love watching Librado Andrade fight. And though he might not possess the natural talent or stellar technique of some of his peers, his heart and determination is more than enough to make up for any shortcomings he may have when matched up against more orthodox or traditional fighters.

All I ask of everybody, all the fans of boxing, is to go along for the ride and enjoy boxing, he said. There are people that have to go through so much hardship to get in the ring to fight, and maybe theyre not the best fighters, maybe they dont have the technique of other ones or theyre not gifted, but theyve done double the work of others and they at least deserve the respect..

I love this guy Andrade. For a man so hard and brutal in the ring, it's amazing how humble, open, introspective and cerebral he really is. He's a special guy. He's hard not to root for. :smoke:smoke

I,too,think that Andrade's style is wrong for the young German-Russian fighter.
I guess that the decisve factor in this upcomming fight will be Stieglitz's defence. Andrade can be outboxed.
Andrade by stoppage victory or Stieglitz by point decision.

I dont know! Could really go either way! Andrade's style seems to be wrong for Stieglitz,but this is just a gut feeling,and I can be totally wrong.

Stieglitz is a good but altogether an average fighter who could give some problems to Andrade with his style... I don't know if he can pull it off, but the odds are very good for Stieglitz on points... If the fight would be made in a neutral location I'd definitely put some money on that, not much, but as GBP is the promoter of the event there's NO WAY I'm gonna put my money against a Golden Boy fighter...

Anyways, Andrade on points or late stoppage. If on points, controversial decision is possible...
