    Your first sentence is misleading. Bute was way ahead of Andrade skillwise in the first fight, and that's precisely why he was easily outboxing him for the first 11 rounds, all being done while suffering from serious anemia and asked by doctors to call the fight off 10 days before.

    Andrade was never near Bute's level.

    Close in that he nearly pulled out the win by winning the endurance contest. I agree that Bute ought to have been well ahead on any good set of cards (and was of course up on the official ones, by a very healthy margin) but a TKO is as legitimate a result as a points win in boxing and Andrade damn near got one due to his superior stamina and championship round performance (at the time).

    "Da Bomb" just blew up any chance of building a fan base. Total ***** move, and he robbed a fan favorite of an opportunity to redeem himself for recent failures in a crossroads match that many were anticipating to be an all-action melee.

    He could have won some fans tonight win lose or draw. Instead he probably just lost any that he already had.

    As if there was anyone for whom his past incidents:

    - raping his kindergarten-age female relative when he was a teen

    - convicted of felony hate crime for homophobic remarks and ensuing violence

    ...weren't enough to consider him a scumbag.

    I wonder what the IBF will do next? Naming Andrade mandatory? Asking him to face another opponent? Why not andre Dirrell? That would be a nice mandatory.
